A great start before moving onto a project book or YouTube tutorials. If the former is your preference, you can't go wrong with Al Sweigart's Big Book of Small Python Projects or Automate the Boring Stuff if you are specifically learning for work as a power pc user wanting to add some quick wins.
I only wish there was a c# text written as clearly as this... Perhaps it's the language itself that makes it difficult. Certainly the books I've read on PowerShell and JavaScript have been much clearer, more similar to Python guides....more
