Well, let's start off with showing you how I feel about this mind blowind read. Ready? OK, here we go:

Yes, that's exactly how I feel. This story has made me feel so many emotions, even some I didn't know I was capable to. It started out sexy as hell, went into super suspenseful, then made me angry and sad at the same time, only to end my misery with a good grovel and a HEA. In short, this book is pure perfection, at least to me.

The plot is as described in blurb and we thankfully get a dual POV for the most part. The ending is in Hoyt's POV, who is Jared's brother. That poor fella really didn't have it easy and after all that he's been through, I can't wait to see how he finds his HEA.

As for the other characters, I liked most of them. My favourite are of course Jared and Sparrow. They first met when they were children and Sparrow saved both, him and Hoyt, from being killed by the horrible woman, who then latter on 'raised' Sparrow. I was so glad by how she and her sons found their ending, served them right!

Sparrow is a tough one and knows how to defend herself. She is also really smart, loyal, protective of the ones she loves, quick and knows how to make Jared's head spin without even trying.

"Never." The thought of losing her now sent a wave of fear through him. She belonged with him. "You're mine."

Jared, on the other hand, is still haunted by his past demons and therefore carries a lot of anger and thirst for revenge. And after what happened to his brother, I felt like he was one step away from completely snapping, not that I could blame him. The one thing that made me at times really dislike him was how he treated Sparrow when he thought she was the one responsible to what happened to Hoyt. In the end I guess I can also blame my high expectations for the story, since I was really happy to be reading this book. But oh well, it's still a three star read, since not all was that bad.

I liked Cap and Michelle, they were my favourite characters. Yes, I know I'm horrible for not liking the main characters more but what can I say. I loved how Cap has this no bullshit personality and how Michelle just knows what she want and is one super cool chick that doesn't easily freak out. If there is going to be a book about those two, I'm definitely reading it!

Their relationship is now a 'normal' one, since their past and true identity still remains a lie, at least on Terra's side and one that all comes to light, there is going to be a big bum! But for the most part, I find their journey to finding each other real sweet. There are ups and downs but in the end they manage to overcome that and also the epilogue and their new pet, just soooo cute. That added to their story for sure.

All in all, I would say that I liked this story but it could also be better, specially the writing style (question and all that). Also I'm not sure I'm going to be reaging the sequel but who knows, maybe I will, maybe won't. So, if you feel like you like the blurb, then go for it. Read the story and who knows, it might just as well pleasantly surprise you. :)

When I saw this one was up for graps on NetGalley I was super excited by the blurb and was really looking forward to reading this book. I mean who doesn't like firstly the cover and secondly strong men with guns and an action packed plot, right? So after reading the first few chapters I can say that I really enjoyed the story but then came the freaking questions. I drove me nuts, I mean, I get it, if it's only a few times and on various scenes but to have a person you are talking to reply to you every single time with What happened? No, did that really happen? He did what? He was what? What, what, what? I FREAKING GET IT, OK!!! You tell me once and I'm totally going to understand you. I'm not brain dead or something. And that continued to happen through the whole story. So that was definitely a bummer for me and I admit, there were times where I wanted to give up and just stop reading.

When I saw this one was up for graps on NetGalley I was super excited by the blurb and was really looking forward to reading this book. I mean who doesn't like firstly the cover and secondly strong men with guns and an action packed plot, right? So after reading the first few chapters I can say that I really enjoyed the story but then came the freaking questions. I drove me nuts, I mean, I get it, if it's only a few times and on various scenes but to have a person you are talking to reply to you every single time with What happened? No, did that really happen? He did what? He was what? What, what, what? I FREAKING GET IT, OK!!! You tell me once and I'm totally going to understand you. I'm not brain dead or something. And that continued to happen through the whole story. So that was definitely a bummer for me and I admit, there were times where I wanted to give up and just stop reading.

In the end I guess I can also blame my high expectations for the story, since I was really happy to be reading this book. But oh well, it's still a three star read, since not all was that bad.

I liked Cap and Michelle, they were my favourite characters. Yes, I know I'm horrible for not liking the main characters more but what can I say. I loved how Cap has this no bullshit personality and how Michelle just knows what she want and is one super cool chick that doesn't easily freak out. If there is going to be a book about those two, I'm definitely reading it!

Now Terra and Michael were a mess but a beautiful one. Their relationship is now a 'normal' one, since their past and true identity still remains a lie, at least on Terra's side and one that all comes to light, there is going to be a big bum! But for the most part, I find their journey to finding each other real sweet. There are ups and downs but in the end they manage to overcome that and also the epilogue and their new pet, just soooo cute. That added to their story for sure.

All in all, I would say that I liked this story but it could also be better, specially the writing style (question and all that). Also I'm not sure I'm going to be reaging the sequel but who knows, maybe I will, maybe won't. So, if you feel like you like the blurb, then go for it. Read the story and who knows, it might just as well pleasantly surprise you. :)

I think this is something new and fresh from Alexa Riley, at least to me, in regards of the plot. Usually we get smut and OTT heroes with no drama what-so-ever. But in this story I think it was great to see some plot twists that at times made me feel mad and at the same time sad for all the main characters. It had more depth and made the story more interesting - not that I mind the usual fun and hot stories from this author. I was just in the right head space to read this story and that made me like it more than the other AR books. I wonder, if AR is thinking of making more stories with such plot twists because I think I'd really enjoy them. Afterall, who doesn't from time to time want to read a controversial storyline.

This one totally redeemed the last one in this series. I can't remember when was the last time that I've read through a book so fast. And now I'm actually feeling sorry that I did in fact read it so fast, because a good book is so hard to come by. Anyway, the author stays true to her writing style and the overall story plot. Well, let me just start with saying that it wasn't what I was expecting from the main characters, especially not from the "broken" Hummingbird. I don't think it's a spoiler that she's quite the opposite from the past woman we've been reading about. It's like she's all of a sudden a whole new personality and I liked that for her. But at the same time, it felt like it was just to sudden and to fast forward, without a real clean transition from the past her to the present. To me, at least, it felt a little rushed but then I was just going with the flow of the story so it wasn't so bad.
As for the plot and the rest of characters, I liked it but didn't love it. I missed the action and to me the plot felt like a changeover to the next book and where this series is going.

All in all, it's a good story and I think that any fan of this series will enjoy it.

Ahhh, such a wonderful story. A perfect mix of sweet innocence and sexy encounters! The story is super short, but it's not lacking in any way. The plot is nicely developed and that makes it a perfect cold winter story to warm up your romantic heart. Especially since Valentine's day is coming soon. One thing leads to another and in the end you get a sexy romantic story with lots of hot scenes. I loved the main characters. They hadn't planned their lives to turn out this way but in the end fate had other plans for them. They met under unusual circumstances, to say the least, but somehow they end up going to a wedding party and their chemistry is off the carts. The rest you can figure out, right? I liked that there wasn't any drama regards to his secret. Some might want it but I like my stories light and fluffy. And that's exactly what this one is. Just a nice read that will make you day a bit better. :)

I don't know what's going on with me lately but I became really picky with my books and since reading Nalini Singh, Darynda Jones, Suzanne Wright, Ilona Andrews and so many more amazing PNR authors I have high standards. So sadly this book is a disappointment for me. At first it looked quite good and the plot was interesting but all the smirking and being overly badass became at some point plain boring and the story couldn't keep my attention. I like strong heroines and equally strong heroes but with this story I didn't feel that. It was more like the heroine was the alpha and pushed the hero into being her beta. And that's not how a good relationship looks like. It's all about respect and trust and I didn't get that feel from their relationship. I get that both have their past and the heroines especially wasn't a pretty one but for me it was too much, her constantly trying to prove dominance, even though she was indeed stronger than him. Because of that I couldn't finish reading the story. For those who don't have that problem, this book is not bad. So, if you like the blurb, read the story.

Wow, what a let down... I really expected more from this story, since I really liked the first book of this series. What happened to Callie? She went from a great character to this powerless, whiny and weak character. It's like she had to be saved by Des so many times, it's ridiculous. I mean, why do authors do that? This book was recommneded to me by a lot of people and now I've finally got the time to read it. From the reviews I knew that it wasn't going to be a bad story. The more I read, the more I actually liked it. It's fresh, it's adventurous and above all it has great PNR elements that I love. I will admit that some parts were dragged out a bit but nothing I couldn't live it. All in all, this is a book worth giving a try and I know I'll read the rest of the books in this series. I only hope Calli stays a strong character and doesn't turn into a mary sue. Fingers crossed. :)

I had high hopes for this story, since I know this author can write amazing books. But this time it felt like the whole book was rushed. I had problems with the timing, like when Cadence finds out that her whole life she has been lied to. She went from crying to immediately sassy and acted like that moment never happened. It was trippy to say the least and it made me feel like I missed something. I did like Damien a lot tho. He was dare I say perfect. Also the plot wasn't so bad, full of action and romance and we also get a scorching scene. So all in all, I liked it but was expecting more. I hope the next book will be a bit more put together.

After re-reading the whole Legion of Angels series, I had to read this series as well. It's nice to get to know Nero's parents and how they met and what adventures they had together. As expected from this author you get lots of action, the right amount of humor and sass and of course a bit of romance that makes you want to read the rest of the books. Would I say that I loved this book as much as Leda and Nero's stories...no but it came pretty close. I did enjoy Cadence and Damien's story and I'm currious enough to read more of what happens to them. It's a great story for sure. Tho I would advise the readers to read the Legion of Angels series first, since both series compliment and interact with each other, especially the third book in this series.

Wow, did not expect to like the story as much as I did, especially since the blurb was reminding me so much of the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh. There are some similarities but nothing that would make me stop reading the book and call for author rights. In this series the whole world is so much different from what I'm used to reading about and that made me like the plot a lot. It's basically how the world looks like after armageddon. And all the angels and gods versus demons stuff is also quite amusing. I'm sure some wouldn't see it that way, but these days I just have a wicked kind of humor. Can't wait for Halloween btw.

This book was brought to my attention by it's author and after I read a small 'preview' of the story I was immediately sucked into the story. I love a good mystery/thriller, especially with so many plot twists. Of course I'm not going to spoil anything, just to keep up with the mystery of it all. The story gets off a bit slow start and throughout the story not much is revealed as to who the real culprit is. I think that's part of the charm of this book. It keeps you guessing and with how short it is, the author does a pretty good job with holding the readers attention till the very end. Now about the ending itself, I think it would perhaps be better had the author decided to stop at the 32 chapter, with the detectives going for a beer. For me, what happened after that kinda bordered on fiction. It was just too implausible and unrealistic and that ruined the perfect ending for me. Maybe some readers will enjoy that kind of an ending, but for me, it just wasn't my cup of tea. Nonetheless, overall I still think it's a good story with a great plot. It's definitely worth a read.

But what happened next, and I don't know, if this is this authors debut book, was that the story abruptly changed course. One minute these two characters are writing these letters, having obviously never met in person before and the next they both fell in love with each other. That emotion came, at least to me, completely out of the blue. It went from zero to hundred in a flash. And that's why I think that the author could've spent more time building up the emotions and the story, so that when they did happened they would be believable. The same with the rest of the plot in the sense that the flow of the story could've been more controlled and not cut from one scene to the next. That being said, it's not a bad story and while I did enjoy reading about the characters journey, it's just not that greatly executed. I wished there could've been less day to day showing and more focus on the potential that this story had to show.

The same with the rest of the plot in the sense that the flow of the story could've been more controlled and not cut from one scene to the next. That being said, it's not a bad story and while I did enjoy reading about the characters journey, it's just not that greatly executed. I wished there could've been less day to day showing and more focus on the potential that this story had to show.
So all in all, did I love the story? Not really but I would still recommend it to others since they might enjoy it more than me. For me this one was sadly just not my cut of tea.

I admit I went into this story comepletely blind. I didn't know what it was really about or what other books the author wrote but I the cover and the blurb convinced me to read it. When it comes to sports and...well...athletes I'm always kinda wary, since they tend to be either real assholes or as recent events (like Nick and Iggy's failed relationship) prove, not as faithful as one would want them to be. BUT in this story, Nick, proves he's an alright guy that knows what he wants and goes for it. And I loved that. Yes, there were times I wished he was more possessive of Eden but when you look at the whole situation from a different angle, you'd see that in real life that's exactly what would happen, so I can't blame him for his decisions. And neither can I blame Eden for hers. With the new addition to her family, her future plans have to be re-evaluated and that's what she does.

When it comes to the characters, I loved Eden's mom but loathed Nick's. Eden's mom is so supportive and down to earth, just like a real mother should be. Now, Nick's mother is the exact opposite of that. She has this reality show and for me it came across as she just used her children and basically they were her pawns. It didn't matter what Nick and his siblings wanted from life, no, what mattered most is that she got most out of it. And that's just disgusting. No mother should do that, not if she really did love her children. But in the end I'm glad she got what she deserved, especially after we found out what she did in the past to her and Eden's family.

I liked the plot. There were ups and downs and also some misunderstandings but nothing that couldn't be fixed. The only thing that bothered me was the ending. I really didn't like the style in which it was written. I wanted it to be more, more descriptions, more character involvement, just more...
All in all, I enjoyed reading this book and I would definitely recommend it!

I think this read was long overdue. And I'm so glad I finally got the time to read it. This is such a sweet but not really story. It definitely leaves you at times emotional and makes you remember your loved ones. Especially Molly's background story made my heart clench a few times. Not that Romeo's story of abuse wasn't horrible and sad but Molly's just hit more home for me, personally. But it is all worth it at the end. I cannot wait to read Romeo's POV. I think it will add more to the story to know his thoughts and views on their journey. Just all in all a beautiful story of love and healing.

Dillon has isolated himself completely after a family tragedy and now everybody in town fears him because of some rumors and his looks. Well, almost everybody. Lexi always saw something in him that no one bothered to see. And so their story starts. Two lost souls and one romantic story. What's not to love.

As characters they couldn't be more different. Dillon is your typical OTT alpha that takes what he wants. And luckily for him Lexi likes his domineering personality. They simply fit together, in more ways than imagined. I felt like some things were resolved or moved too quickly for me, but since this is a super short story that can be forgiven and it's more or less even expected. I wonder how their story would've look like has this been a full lengh story. I think the plot has some great drama potential that could make the book into a story with more depth. I was really looking forward to reading this second book in this series. But turns out the joke's on me, since the scene I was hoping for was not even in this book but in the third one. So that was a disappointment, because I do think that this book could need a bit of action. I don't know, if it's the reason that this is my second time reading it or what, but I felt that this story was slightly dragging and was in some parts even boring. So I admit to skimming some pages, especially the BDSM ones. That genre just doesn't do it for me anymore, so I'm in it solely for the romance, which is not bad. There were some swoon worhy moments and that made me enjoy the story more but there were also some parts that I really didn't like, like the one with the bathroom scene or the dressing stylist. Had it been me, I would've put her in her place in a much more direct way. But to each it's own, I guess. Sadly this isn't one of my favourite books anymore but I still want to read the rest of the series, just to get to that scene that I've been craving for.

Love, love, loved it!!! Besides The Deep in Your Veins Series, this one is my favourite from this amazing and funny author. I love her works and this book for sure didn't let me down. Devon and Tanner are simply perfect for each other. I couldn't wait for their story and I'm so glad how it turned out. They both tease each other so much that it only made sense for them to be together. It wasn't a smooth journey to get there but with love it never really is, right? Also the infamous ow-om drama was compared to other books from this author quite mild, which I liked. And not to mention we finally get to see little Asher again, he's so adorable and cute. I also loved to read more about the rest of the gang. I'm fairly sure that the next book will be awesome and super hillarious, since it's supposed to be about Keenan and Khloe. I honestly cannot wait for it.

I'm so glad that after reading this book again I still love it. This series was the first one I read from this author and it's what made a fan of her writing. Can't say I've ever been let down by her books and can't even imagine that to ever happen. She writes about badass heroines that really make me feel like I can depend on them to stay strong throughout the whole series. And don't even get me started on the heroes, just love them. So protective and loyal, just how a great man should be to his true love. And the action, especially in this series is just awesome, not a dull moment. All in all, I love this sereis, this author and these characters.

It also helped that she had a nice whip to show them the way to their right mindset. Especially Jared. At first I didn't like him but then he kinda grew on me and at the end I even feel in love with him. The double POV also helped. And the rest of the characters of course. I loved how the frindships started to form and how at the end everyone had Sam's back when she needed the most. That redeemed them in my eyes for being jackasses in the beginning of the story. Not everyone but most of them. And as far as the plot goes, it's awesome. I loved all the action and what's to come for Sam and her new friends. just an awesome read that I'm glad didn't let me down when I needed it most.

This is my second time reading this book and it's still as good as I remember it, if not better. After my recent disappointment with PNR books I just had to read one that I knew I would love. That being said, the best part of this story was definitely and by far Kate's family. To me they are the only thing that makes me want to read the rest of the books. Everything else is just flat and boring. I know that with every book Kate will be treated like dirt, she will still want to save everyone - no idea why, just let them die and she will still be an outsider (to the pack, the humans and so on). I'm disappointed with the author's lack of vision for her characters.

So... There are a couple things that I liked and there are a few that I didn't. It was just an all right read for me. And since this is my fourth book that I've read in a row I think I'm starting to see the authors type of writing and thinking and I'm just not impressed by it. Sorry, but it's the truth.
The whole thing with everyone underestimating and not having Kate's back is getting old real fast. And also, where were her friends when she needed them, huh? What happened? In the big battle there was only Curran that had her back. Everyone else was not even mentioned, aside from Andrea. Also, I was not impressed by her behaviour at the end. Now the chapters at the end, just low what the pack did to Kate, really. I don't know why the author won't evolve the characters personalities, it's like they are frozen and with each book you only get a new action plot and that's it. I really liked this one, so far it's my favourite in this series. I loved the action, the humor, even the bad guys and how Kate and her team dealt with them. And we also got some steam between Kate nad Curran, finally I say. I wonder what will happen between these two in the next book, hopefully they get together for real (and stay together). By the looks of it I think we'll also get to know more of her family, not sure that's a good thing or not but we'll see. All in all a great read.

Well, I think I had too high hopes for this one. I remember reading the first book and loving it but this one was just a let down for me personally. It didn't have that spark and I felt at times wondering why does nobody really know what they are doing. That frustrated me but other than that it was an ok read. Not bad but not fantastic either. I liked the action and since we got a lot of it that jujst might have been the saving grace for this story. I also liked some characters, like Raphael and the witches as well as Kate's friend from work that had a surprising little secret of her own. As for Red and the bad guys, well...and happy they got their karma work for them, especially Red. Seriously that punk, had it been me I would have beatem him bloody. But some life leasons must be learned the hard way for them to stick, so we'll see how his story works out for him. All in all, I only hope the next book will have a better plot and more progress between Kate and Curran.
