Tyler's book is out! I fell in love with Tyler while writing it. I wasn't sure about his character, but once he walked in and started interacting with Jess, the courageous heroine, he melted my heart. :-) I got very close to Tyler and Jess, and hope you enjoy reading about them. All the brothers play a part, babies are happening, and the clan of Riverbend grows. I am happy to be able to return to this series!

This book started life as a very short, free story called "Eland", published by Ellora's Cave. I've revised and expanded it considerably, taking it from a 4500-word story to a 36,000 word novella. It has maybe a few paragraphs that are the same as the original! I've always wanted to take a closer look at Eland's and Jeanne's tale. It is a "prequel" for the Shareem series, however it does not have to be read first. You *can* read it first, or wait until you have more of a taste of the Shareem.

Book 4 of my recommended reads for Ĺ·±¦ÓéŔÖ Romance Week 2015: While this book is not strictly romance, Lady of Devices and the Magnificent Devices series has quickly become one of my favorite YA reads, as well as one of my favorite steampunk worlds. In this alternate Victorian universe, steam has just elbowed aside oil and internal combustion engines, to the misfortune of the heroine's father, a viscount who had invested heavily in combustion engines. Claire, who's never really fit in to her world of upper-class young ladies, is suddenly without a penny on the streets of London. Her resourcefulness and courage soon put her as the leader a rag-tag bunch of (very) young thieves (and one hen). I love this story because of Claire, who combines her training to be a polite young lady with her cleverness with devices to turn around the lives of her charges. She's no helpless ninny, no matter that she's thrown into frightening situations completely alien to her soft, safe world. I very much enjoy the adventures and the well-drawn characters in this series--I recommend all the books, starting with this one!

Fabulously written, sweet, and funny, this book has become one of my favorites, as has the series. An unusual set of heroines in dire circumstances find a benefactor when they rescue her from being a prisoner in her own household. How the heroine discovers her is also most unusual! The four heroines come together as "sisters" for their own survival, and form bonds of friendship and caring that is heartwarming. The hero has no chance. If you're a fan of old-fashioned, well-written, sweet Regencies (and even if you're not), this book and series will come as a breath of fresh air. I look forward to reading more about the "muffins." :-)

Book 2 for my Ĺ·±¦ÓéŔÖ Romance Week shelving: Mary Jo Putney has many terrific books, but this is my very favorite (thus far), and one of my favorite romances ever, especially Part 1! It's a love story between a married woman who would never dream of straying and a man who has vowed never to have anything to do with married women again. The tension as they struggle to maintain their principles and at the same time acknowledge their feelings is built up in just the right way. Also, this is the best depiction of battles in the Napoleonic Wars I've read--the Battle of Waterloo from the POV of the hero, a rifleman, puts you right there as it happens.

In previous books, Michael was somewhat of a villain figure, but of course he's so much more than that. This is the story of his redemption.
