Of Butterflies & Books Hey guys, I'm a big fan of urban fantasy and historical romance. I also love books that find a way to combine those two genres, for example, the Soulless series. Could anyone please give me recommendations so I might find some more of those kinds of books? Thank you.

Night Fires (Vampire #1) by Karen Harbaugh Dark Enchantment (Vampire #2) by Karen Harbaugh

however both of these series would be pnr rather than uf

KMM's Highland series involving Fae/time travel. First book in the series Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning is very good.

Susan (the other Susan) (theothersusan) | 259 comments Christina Dodd's "A Well Favored Gentleman" has the merest hint of paranormal / magic in the dangerous hero's backstory. ( He's descended from a selkie.) He's delicious.

Rachel Annie (snapdragoness) Loved the following Highland Historical Paranormal Romance novellas:

Unspoken (The MacLauchlans, #1) by Kerrigan Byrne , Unwilling (The MacLauchlans, #2) by Kerrigan Byrne , and my favorite Unwanted (The MacLauchlans, #3) by Kerrigan Byrne .

More PNR than UF, but this series was such a pleasant surprise for me.

This is an awesome book. It's a mix of historical & shapeshifter romance!

°¾±³Ù★ (xkittyxlzt) The Magicians and Mrs. Quent The Magicians and Mrs. Quent (Mrs. Quent, #1) by Galen Beckett was an amazing book I thought. The romance was more Jane Austen-ish than hot and steamy, but there was definitely romance to it. The paranormal aspect was great too, magicians and witches and other worlds... :)
