Our August book clubs will be at the con this year! Ender's Game is one of two books we'll be discussing. Feel free to use this topic to discuss your thoughts on the book, especially if you aren't able to be there in person.

I've read Lender's Game a few times in my life, and it is always very thought provoking. Yes, it's eual parts school story, coming of age novel, and space opera, but it is great book for discussing whether the ends justify the means. Is genocide ( or in this case xenocide ) ever justifiable? If you' ve never read this book, now is a great time, as the Ender's Game movie will be released in 2013.

Earth Unaware is now out too. The new book sets up the first of the Formic Wars. I just missed OSC at a signing here in Lex.

I'm curious as to who else has read more of the series as opposed to just Ender's Game? Though I read Ender's Game when I was younger, I tore through Ender in Exile, Speaker for the Dead, and Xenocide when I was in college. Oh, and Ender's Shadow, but not the follow-ups to that.

I have read them all an loved seeing how Ender grew, fell apart, and found redemption. I haven't got the attention span for Earth Unaware right now. in fact I should be sewing right now. >:)
