People told me I didn’t really have to read this one, but normally when an author writes a novella it’s because they felt compelled to explain a character story. In this case, I wanted to figure out what the author wanted to say more about Adena.

I don’t understand yet what this whole rehashing a characters past (in a painful way) will contribute to the story.

I think the whole point was to set up Mak’s character arc. Maybe he will ally with Paedyn? Because he is technically the only other wielder other than Kai that we know of, and I’m very curious to see what he can do. Plus, I love a little angry man and now with this end ending I fear he will become unhinged.

I hope he gets a healing character arc.

Poetry my love I fear you are slightly misunderstood. too hard to understand they say, fair assessment. But, chosen just right you are the perfect antidote. A compassionate friend.

Love, pain, healing, grief, anger, relief, death, etc. - each emotion raw and true released by brave souls transpiring feelings that have come to pass or might be heading your way.

It feels like a touch from one hand to another, giving you a tight squeeze of recognition.

This particular collection was structured beautifully with short poems regarding love, heartbreak and rebuilding what we’ve lost or rather what we need to find again.

What made this collection stand out to me was the accompanying photographs on almost every other page. It allow a deeper glimpse alongside the journey.

“My favorite season is the Fall of the ego.

You know it’s a great book when you read it and it inspires different avenues of thought. Especially the ones that lead to a creative release. Poetry for me is an expression of emotions that generate even more.

This collection felt like the companionship of an exhale and inhale. One can’t flourish without the other. I felt seen and then inspired. Poetic justice they say. Emotions, emotions.

This was a cycle of lost lovers, lost hearts and the agonizing freedom of it all. Would you go back and erase what once brought you happiness only for you to lose it? Can you embrace someone and never have them? Can you be in this moment and simultaneously relive the past?

For me it’s the fastest and purest yes I’ve ever yelled. I get the best inspiration from what I’ve lost. What I didn’t yet know I needed too and I would never take that back.
