Amikor esik a "vörös hó" When the "red snow" falls by Sidaq Pratap Singh
"I am always on the look out for a fresh and unique book so when I laid my hands on this book, I knew I was in for one. The book was very enlightening and shared many aspects of the society that were unknown to me.

The book chronicles the life of the author during his time in Budapest. He has shared how his life in film making college became a struggle to deal with on a daily basis because of the different culture and the racism he faced. Not just that but how his mental peace was compromised because of unsupportive teachers and other people who found one or the other way to bully him, making it difficult for him to live peacefully.

What I liked the most in this book is how honest the author has been through his book. He has not only shared about his struggles but he has also talked about all the things he has liked while his stay there and this is something I highly appreciate. Through his passion for writing, he has shared different forms of art and blended them so beautifully in this book. He has talked about poets, painters, filmmakers and they didn't seem irrelevant to the context.

In my opinion one thing that could be done better was the format of the book. It seemed like a haphazard waiting to be assembled. This is an autobiography cum memoir of one of the phases of the author's life.

I was drawn to the book from its cover but I felt that it doesn't really justify the context inside. The cover and the title of the book could be different from this. Grammatical errors could be avoided for a smooth reading experience as they definitely hinder the reading process.

The idea to write a book like this was unique and I am anticipating a part two of this book soon and also expecting for a smoother experience than this. I believe the same ideas could be presented in a more appealing way, to make it easy for readers to understand.

As an Indian myself I felt angry and sad to know that there are still many people who judge you based on the background from where you come. All the bullying which was done to the author was triggering to read and I would recommend this work only if you are in the mental space to read themes like that.

It was a good source of knowledge to me in the form of an autobiography. I love books with such details and a personal touch to go with it. "

As someone who grew up listening to partition stories from my grandmother, it was interesting to read this book about pre-partition and post-partition stories of migrants from Dera Ismail Khan. ]]>
