I really loved this. The characters and their relationships as they developed throughout the story was so good. I also love the take on the "grizzled fighter takes in young child" trope in this book with Kissen and Inara. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There are a couple elements that I felt were slightly unrealistic for the time period but beyond that I found it a great read. I also appreciate that whilst the book isn't a one-to-one on the language used at that period, it didn't feel overly modern. Overall, an enjoyable read. ]]>
