"Wow, what an incredible read, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Livia Grant has really outdone herself with this book, I have been waiting for what feels like a long time for this Black Sky Ops series, the first book was worth the wait but this one supersedes it. Khloe and Ryder were first introduced in the Black Light books, and the book is set four years after their marriage. It was great being reintroduced to people who appeared in previous books as well as the new members of Ryder’s team. The pages are packed full of love, action, suspense and tears as Ryder’s past collides in a terrifyingly evil way with his and Khloe’s future. I wish I could give more than 5 stars - can’t wait for the next in the series."

"I've been really looking forward to Khloe and Ryder's story. I was not prepared for how heartbreaking and beautiful it would be. This is one of my favorite Black Light couples and it's refreshing to read a book about a couple that's already established and know each other inside and out. Livia Grant does a great job of always making me feel like I'm right there in the story. It's packed full of action and gave me all the feels. Every emotion from love to fear is palpable in this book. This story was exactly what I needed and more."

He is a member of the Black Sky Ops. He keeps a low profile due to his past activities while in the military and the enemies made there. She is an internationally acclaimed actress. Their four-year marriage has been kept quiet. As Khloe is attending her latest premier, Ryder acts as just another ember of her security team. But sharp-eyed members of the press corps publish that something is up.

Hang on to your hats, as danger comes calling and retribution is at hand. It is raw and gritty, and almost too realistic. We feel the composed team leader become frantic with worry. Fortunately his team has their backs. We feel each insult that is applied to Khloe and hope with her that recue is on its way. Can she stay alive long enough for that rescue to succeed.

Emotional, hair-raising and a complete roller coaster ride. A stellar read.
