💬: Guys I’ll be honest. I was not having a good time at first. I was this close 👌🏼 to DNFing. I was trying not to let all the negative reviews affect my reading experience, I didn’t want to go into this book with a preconceived notion that I was going to dislike it. I think I was hating at first because I really wasn’t in the mood for kinky, light bdsm, (lol) but I’ve been waiting months for this loan on Libby. Btw, why do your Libby holds become available all at once?! It ain’t right.

�� I decided to do my audiobook & Kindle combo which seems to work well for me with certain reads. & it did help me start to get more engrossed in what was going on.

�� Deep End (rip whet) had a few issues; the main one for me was the friend’s ex boyfriend love triangle. Probably my least favorite romance trope. 0/10 did not enjoy. Another issue I had, & it may be an unpopular opinion here, was that the FMC, Scarlett/Vandy/whatever the fuck you want to call her, annoyed the absolute hell out of me. Usually I love all of Ali’s FMCs, even if their quirky, ~I’m So DiFfErEnT fRoM OtHeR GiRLs~ personalities can be a bit much at times, but ScarVan was the worst out of them. Again, this could’ve just been a me problem, but God, she irked me. And the audiobook narrator didn’t help the situation either. 🤐 Who makes kink their entire personality?! Girlypop�� we get it�� you like praise & being told what to do. Such a ~sexual deviant~ see you in hell!!

�� Let’s be real �� the actual reason I started to enjoy this book/why it got a good rating from me was because of the MMC, Lukas Blomqvist. Extra points for his voice actor on the audiobook🤰🏼 I’m a slut for European accents. Adam Carlsen still holds the #1 spot for book boyfriends in the AH Universe, but I have to say Lukas is not too far behind him. Speaking of Adam, I LOVE that both Adam & Olive had frequent cameos. My Shaylas 🥹

�� While we’re on the kink topic�� was the kink in the room with us? 🧐 You guys know me, I’m not the biggest fan of a lot of hardcore kinky spice; especially not a fan of books that are 98% spice, 2% plot. This book had the perfect balance for me & the spice was spicy, the spiciest AH has written, but it seemed like regular spice/sex to me? 🤷🏼‍♀�� Which is fine! It was still good, however maybe something shouldn’t be labeled as kink if there is no�� kink? They briefly discussed their “kinky lists�� & that was that. *take a shot everytime I say ‘kink�� & ‘spice�� in this review. It won’t end well for you though.

�� Despite the flaws in Deep End, I did end up having a good time! The vibes were there. 🤌🏼 The trademark AH banter/humor was there. 🤌🏼 The STEM was there 🤌🏼 aka everything I love in an AH book & I do love me some Ali Hazelwood. If she writes it, this bitch is going to read it. She will always be an auto read author for me. 🩵

💬 | As soon as I saw the cover for Sky Daddy, I knew that I would like this book. However, I didn’t anticipate liking it as much as I did. 🥺

�� From the synopsis, it makes it seem like this book is just about a girl who is sexually attracted to airplanes which, well, yes.. yes it is, but it is also so much more than that. You’ve got female friendships, the discussions of fate, manifestation, mental health, grief, people pleasing.

�� I’ve always loved the show My Strange Addiction on TLC & I also love weird girl fiction. It’s one of my favorite niche genres so this book was a near perfect read for me. I was entertained the entire time. Laughing out loud at Linda’s inner dialogue & all the situations she would get herself into just so girly pop can get her plane fix.

�� Despite Linda’s quirk (kink?), I found her to be a relatable character & a damn good friend who was just lonely, trying to fit in, & live out her best sexually fueled by airplanes life.

�� One of my favorite parts of the book was the friendship Linda developed with Karina, but my girl Sidney brought up a good point about their friendship & now we have questions & theories. 🤔 See, I told you it was more than a book about sex with airplanes.

�� I had such a fun time with this book & Linda is a character that I’m going to think about a lot�� especially every time I board a plane. ✈️ And speaking of planes, I think I have a new found respect for them now, but not in the same way Linda does.
