I was eager to dive into this novel and revisit where Sarah was now a decade later after the end of her marriage. This book did not disappoint. We discover that Sarah has married Bob and they have a daughter. Bob has an indiscretion himself and Sarah finds out. This book follows them getting a divorce while also trying to navigate the cunning behavior they both know the other is capable of doing.

I really enjoyed this novel about grief and finding one's self on the other side of it. Grace has lost her husband Frank who had a book club. Through her grief her grandson suggests she attend it to feel closer to his spirit. It turns out to be a "silent book club" where everyone reads quietly. It takes her by surprise and she almost gives up on the idea. However, she's talked into staying and we read the development of various friendships.

I found all the characters delightful. I really enjoyed this engaging story of a romance writer who is the daughter of parents who run a publishing company but only publish high brow type books. She discovers her parent's business is in trouble and they've gotten in bed with this sleazy author who is popular and they think is going to help bail them out. Our main character finds something off about him. And she's right. I wasn't initially keen on the dynamics between the sisters. The sister of our main character was not likeable in the beginning however half way through the book that dynamic turned around.
