As a therapist trained in ADHD treatment, I wish this book didn’t exist. Not only is many of its themes and “education� wildly outdated, much of it has been disproven by research. For example, the book claims that medication should not be the first line of treatment in ADHD. Well, research has proven that medication is the ONLY real treatment for ADHD. This book was very well researched and demonstrated a lot of important historical elements like how abuse was so normalized.
