First of all, I loved the cover.
The book was great, too. Lots of swashbuckling and pirate hijinks (lots of violence, though not graphic). There wasn't a great deal of suspense, though, and if the chapters hadn't been divided up into short chunks it probably would have gotten a bit tedious in places, but as it was, it felt like it moved right along. I enjoyed Owen's character development from a prude, indignant at every aspect of the pirates' lives, to someone who appreciated the differences in the people he was thrown in with. I especially appreciated that his fundamental nature didn't really change, just his outlook.
The last line made me choke up a little.
The descriptions of the meals he created for Hannah probably would have made me drool if I found seafood even remotely appetizing.

Romance novels =not my thing, but mysteries=def my thing. So I tried this, basically bc I liked the cover. It was OK, although it nearly lost me when the two main characters come up with a stupid scheme to manipulate a woman who doesn't know that her daughter has been murdered because they want her to just admit that everything isn't fine. Anyway, it was a clean romance, and how often do you run across those these days? ]]>
