This series promotes true enemies-to-lovers trope and this book though has zero romance. The main characters accepted the fact they are mated for life but in some twisted ways, they are enemies and wanted to slain each other. They really hated each other I was wondering how these two will come to love each other. I hope the next book is about it.

The world-building is decent but the pacing drags.
