There just wasn’t enough substance to go with the sex. I liked the premise but I needed more varied banter but it seemed like it always went back to the same thing. I think I’ll pass on the second in the series. ]]>

I love the way that Agatha Christie crafted herself out of dreadful situation and made sure that she didn’t get the short end of the stick! My husband is a huge fan of her works and I’ll have to see if he has heard of her disappearance. ]]>

This book is so cheesy and so predictable but yet I still found it mildly entertaining. If you want to read it, I’d highly recommend October as it might help with the vibe of the book to have it feel a little more eerie. ]]>

It’s always nice to get a historical fiction piece set in a different time and place from the traditional eras and places featured in the genre. I was definitely hesitant to pick this one because the cover art is off putting to me. However, I really enjoyed this story. It doesn’t have a ton of action and climax if that is something you need in a story. If you like to just read about new places and times, I’d recommend giving this one a try. ]]>

I thought this was going to be more about the pageantry surrounding Elizabeth’s wedding but instead it told the stories of two of the embroiders who worked to attach the beautiful appliqués to it. I had never really looked closely at the detail until I read this book and the way the author described the details was amazing. I could tell right away each piece she had described. I think if I had went into expecting something more about the workers I would have enjoyed it more. If you like historical fiction and would enjoy the characters being tangentially related to the royal wedding, I think you’d really enjoy this. ]]>

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
"I think I put this one off for so long because I was skeptical of the hype. But I get it now. It’s a compelling, creative story with good tension & magic. The audiobook was really good. I like knowing how to pronounce the characters names. Definitely kept me entertained & wanting to know what happened next. I’ll keep reading the series. "
