I so appreciate the work of Dr. Curt Thompson and both myself and others have been helped greatly by his work as a psychiatrist who understands neuroscience and loves Jesus.

This book, however, felt less helpful. Partially because it’s somewhat hard to implement the concepts apart from the context of the confessional communities he runs. Then partially just due to his writing style of long, run-on sentences. "The books get shorter and shorter. And it all starts to feel like it’s driven by publishers or by a money grab (both?). He has less content. It’s still good and some great insights, but maybe more a chapter than a book."
