thank you for the author and valentinepr for gifting me this book in exchange for an honest review.

my dnf has nothing to do with the actual contents, but everything to do with the time i was reading this at. so for now it's a soft dnf so i can hopefully not think of death and despair while finishing this lol

anyway, that having said. i came to the conclusion i don't like little kids in my books. they're cringy HAHA
so maybe that also has something todo with it. but who knows

one day i'll finish this one !!!!

You should ignore the total cringyness of my first review, but it’s still true.

I always get the craving of rereading this series when winter turns into spring, and spring turns into the early days of summer.

This story is just so atmospheric. You want to jump into the story itself and just wrap your arms around everything and never let go.
It’s truly about friendship, and what people may or may not have and still not feeling as if they deserve it.

I really liked this reread. I now have some books under my belt as if that means I can critically read this now. (that’s not the case) But it still holds up.
What I loved most is how I never noticed how melancholy Gansey is? He’s so sad, so worried, so self conscious about everything. While he’s still acting as if he has the whole world in his palm. Bursting with confidence. And it makes me feel like Blue in a way. I love the authentic him a lot more instead of the shiny version he makes for himself.

Also loved Adam a lot more. Finally choosing something he chose for himself.
Ronan and Noah were just as perfect.

If you have never picked this series up, I highly recommend it. It feels like your own little friend group, just casually falling in love with the adventure of looking for a Welsh King.

Funny how I never wrote a review for my favourite series to date.

I’ll keep it short, because honestly I don’t know how to put my absolute love for this book into words.

These books have helped me through more hard than happy times, going onto adventures I wished I could go on in the real world. But this book is enough. It has always been enough. I just incandescently love it, with my whole being.
