Ummmm what lol

This was so bizarre. I was torn because I found the writing so engaging for no reason. Like literally 95% of this book is absolutely nothing happening and I was so immersed. But then those endings..

Starting with the novella, that ending was so abrupt and I’m sorry, I wanted a justification for the story being told in 2nd person. I suppose it added to the stress a bit but not enough.

The first short story was the worst part of the book for me. Still engaging writing but wayyyyy too psychedelic of a direction for my taste.

The ending of the 2nd short story gagged me a tiny bit. It was camp. Probably my favorite moment of the whole book. ]]>

3.5/5

This was weird as hell. Definitely out there for a Christie. I didn’t think it was bad though, just kind of unexpected and a little nonsensical. She wanted to try something new and idk if it landed but it was a valiant effort and it was still a fun time. I just always hate how mean Poirot is to Hastings. Leave the poor man alone! ]]>
