"4.5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful Step Back to Ancient Egypt & Intrigue.
Well, this was quite a lovely adventure. I love historicals and this was so well done in that style. This was a strong addition to the Pharaoh's Promise series, and Irene Preston fit so well into the overarching premise, a spell for lasting love.

I'm impressed with the amount of period details to make this feel like I was in this time and place - the terms used for the clothing, the items, the places, and the mix of beliefs and gods and nationalities. So well done, and if what Irene said that only 1% of her research made it in, do not fret that, it's what it takes to come up with a gem like this.

The story line kept me engaged as well and moved briskly along. The characters were well drawn so that I really liked and empathized with the MC, and kept wondering on who was really who, in a good mystery way of not knowing who the MC could trust.

With some exciting action along the way, it all fell nicely into place with a very satisfactory ending."
