Yes, the Legion is a paranormal series. What I love about writing paranormal is the ability to create a new world, with different types of humans and other beings. There's something about stretching the imagination that really appeals to me. No, I've always loved reading paranormal books.

Thank you so much, Alice. That was such a nice thing to say. I'm working on the third book in my Legion dragon series and the next book in the Donovan Dynasty series.

Hi Alice, No. Not all of my characters resemble people I come in contact with on my job, some are those I meet at church or at some other function. But I'm always studying people and wondering "what if"?

So many of them! LOL But first and foremost are: J.R. Ward's The Chosen, Nora Robert's Come Sundown, Lora Leigh's Wake A Sleeping Tiger and Brenda Jackson's Guilty Pleasure.

I don't read Urban Novels, as many times I'm uncomfortable even looking at the covers. I may try, J.J. Murray, though, or even Christian Urban Novels,

I don't think I have any great mystery in my life. LOL But I know that I see many things going on in the courthouse where I work, that could turn out to be great plots!

Hi Janice! Yes, there will be a new Shadow Shifter book releasing in September. It's called A Lion's Heart and it will be available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. All of the books are listed on these sites. Since they are older, they are probably not in bookstores anymore.

Well, I have several, but I'd have to say one of my top 3 is Joe Fox and Kathleen Kelly from YOU'VE GOT MAIL. I love the way these two found each other, liked each other, then hated each other and then realized that they really LOVED each other. I like all the versions of this movie, but this one is my favorite because of the chemistry between Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

Thanks Janice! A new Shadow Shifter book will be releasing in September. :)

I've been writing for adult readers longer, so I'd say I enjoy that a little more. But really there's an entirely different type of satisfaction I get from writing YA books. I love the opportunity to write stories featuring YA characters, especially because I write about diverse characters and really enjoy the aspect of a diverse group of readers having the opportunity to see themselves in books.

My advice to aspiring writers is twofold:
1. Learn as much about the craft and the business of writing as you possibly can. Information is a powerful tool.
2. Be tenacious. Write the story you want to tell and tell it well. Don't be discouraged by rejection letters or negative reviews. Write from your heart.

Normally when I'm stuck at a certain place in a book, I'll stop writing and watch movies or listen to music that put me in the mind of the story. I can usually refresh after a day or two.

Hi KiKi! I'm glad for the opportunity to be here. :)

Really simple things inspire me--a TV show, a song on the radio, sometimes I'll even see a person walking down the street and think of a good scene to add to a WIP. I think its because I'm always thinking about whatever story I'm writing, so everything around me is liable to turn into a scene. lol

I am currently working on book#6 in the Shadow Shifters series titled Primal Heat. This book will release in the summer of 2015.
