Linnea May That is a great question! (And I'm sorry for only seeing it now)
I don't think women are simply 'turned on by rape' but by a fantasy version of a scenario that - from the outside - could be seen as rape. I'll admit that I did struggle with the concept at first (even though I enjoy writing these kinds of stories), but try to see it as it is: a fantasy. My books are pure escapism and have nothing to do with reality, and that's what many of us seek when we dive into a book: a break from reality. I doubt that any of my readers would actually want to experience the situations described in my books and it's more about the allure of taboo and about being wanted/desire by a super hot guy who could have anyone - but he wants you! And he's willing to be a bad boy to get you. ;)
Linnea May I try to push through by not looking at what I'm writing - just get the words out. Sometimes that helps to get back into the flow and the story develops itself - if it doesn't work, I take a break, a serious break. I close the document and do something else instead, going for a walk, doing some housework, anything that keeps the body busy while the mind wanders. :)
Linnea May Read a lot & write a lot.

I'm quoting Stephen King here, but he has a point! :)
Linnea May To be honest: The part right after midpoint. It's usually a more quiet phase, were things settle after a climax (often, quite literally, hehe) and then move on to the crisis (which I love to write). The endings are also a challenge, because it's so hard to say goodbye to my characters.
