Nakeesha Cluse When I was a teenager, my mother learned that her biological mother died in child birth . She also discovered that she had two other siblings. That day just held so much significance to my family. While we don't have all the answers, I can't help feeling one day we will.
Nakeesha Cluse My favorite fictional couple is Romeo & Juliet. Call me a glutton for punishment but there's nothing hotter than forbidden love! Two lovers destined to be together but the odds are stacked against them. It makes for a interesting read. I just prefer the happier ending.
Nakeesha Cluse I listen to music when I write. I like to find a song that relates to the story and it sets the mood. I like to imagine that I'm making the soundtrack to my book if it were turned into a movie. When music doesn't help I back away from the story for a while and then go back to it.
Nakeesha Cluse Doing what you love and the joy you get when somebody else actually loves your work too!
Nakeesha Cluse Don't give up, keep writing. You are going to come across people who get your work and love it, and those that don't. You have to believe in yourself and your talent. Be your own biggest cheerleader!
Nakeesha Cluse I am working on Book two in the Dangerous Love Series, called "Nicolette Thorne: Good Girl Gone Bad". It completes Nicolette Thorne's journey. We get to see her from a totally different perspective. In this book, we learn more about her childhood and the strong woman she truly is. For a video description, check out the video on the Wicked Game page. I hope to get it out soon!
Nakeesha Cluse I have always loved to write but I think my inspiration comes from my maternal grandmother. I remember sitting around the table listening to her stories and getting lost. I never got tired of hearing her tales of the old days.
Nakeesha Cluse First of all, thank you for reading my book. Hope you liked it. Honestly, the idea just came to me. Sometimes I get stories from experiences I've had and other times dreams. Wicked Game was a little bit of both. I plotted out a general outline and then just let the story lead the way. Hope that helps!
