Dave Reed Not sure what you mean by writer's block, since everybody seems to mean something different. When I don't feel like writing, I start skimming through the incomplete parts of the manuscript--I can't help but add a word here or change a phrase there or correct a ridiculous typo and before I know it I've been writing for an hour or more and I've fallen in love with my story again.

Dave Reed Breathing. There are stories hiding in and around everything. The most minute detail or chance encounter spawns countless ideas. My favorite self-entertainment game is making up the "real story" behind wacky things that show up in the news or the motivations of someone who just behaved inexplicably toward me or within my observation.
Dave Reed The world around me continuously inspires ideas for stories. All day, every day. I'll never get a chance to tell them all, but I'm going to try like hell!

The current work in progress was inspired by a song and imagining that my daughter was the protagonist/singer of that story.
