Sara A. Noë Cato is the only character in the series told in first person, and even the third person POV scenes are still centered around his story in the overall scheme. Naturally, I feel a close connection to Cato because I poured so much of myself into him, but I have to say my absolute favorite characters to write would be Axel and the twins, simply because of their psyches. They have a lot of layers and complicated motives, and their psychology fascinates me.
Sara A. Noë There are a total of seven books (six + a prequel) in the works for the War of the Realms series featuring Cato and company. Within the full Chronicles, I have an additional four planned right now, with plenty of possibilities to expand. Those books might see brief glimpses of WOTR characters, but they'll be set in Avilésor at various points in the Realm's timeline.
Sara A. Noë Don't give up. There will be rejections and critics who will make you doubt yourself. But if you have the passion, and you put in the time and the hard work to hone your craft and see your story through to the bitter end, your perseverance will pay off. Write the story you need to write.
Sara A. Noë The best part of being a writer is having the ability to translate my daydreams into a form that allows other people to step into my mind. Every character is a piece of me, and my fantasy worlds have been my escape for a long time. Publishing my first book was like forging a key to a private door. I hope readers enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
Sara A. Noë Yes! Without giving away too many spoilers, Cato and Ash forge a solid partnership in Book II. I can't say much more, but rest assured, Ash will have a stronger presence.
Sara A. Noë Everyone in the Alpha gang came to me pretty easily, and so did my main antagonists. I think my most difficult character was Holly Jennings. She was very two dimensional in the first draft, and I struggled to identify her motives and then use them to justify her decisions. I disagree with much of what she thinks, which makes it hard to step into her shoes. I still don't feel entirely comfortable in her head, but I understand her better now, and I plan to bring some of her dark past to the surface in Book II.
