I just finished reading Daughter of a daughter of a Queen! It was wonderful. The way it ended, do you have thoughts of writing a sequel or a follow up book? I sure hope so, I really wanted to see them together forever!
Sarah Bird Dear Ann, I am SO SORRY I missed this lovely question. I totally agree. I added the last section because **I** wanted to see them together so badly and the only way I could do it was the sequence I wrote at the end. Sigh. They're together in MY mind!

Sarah, did you travel to Okinawa for Above the East China Sea or did the University of Texas libraries provide all the background?
Sarah Bird Dear Sharmyn, Oh dear, I am so sorry! I just now became aware of this question section! I lived with my Air Force family in Okinawa from 1967 to 1970, but I was not able to return. Fortunately, the magnificent UT libraries had all I needed in the way of research materials except in one area. That was the contemporary teens. Youtube came to my rescue with an entire channel devoted to the hip-hop scene in Okinawa!

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Sarah Bird Funny you should ask, I'm actually haunted by something that happened to me nearly fifty years when I was 20 and working at a German-owned diving club on Spain's Costa Brava. I won't go into the background details, but a friend died while I was there under unsettling circumstances. In some ways, the fact that this actually happened has been a barrier to my writing about it. I'm too wed to the actual event.
