Hi Sue, I'm glad you enjoyed the speech! I haven't run a Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ giveaway in a while, but I've been meaning to. It's on my radar at least! :)

I enjoyed reading occasionally as a child, and then in fifth grade I read Jurassic Park. That's when I started writing my own stories. I guess I wanted to recreate the excitement and suspense that I felt while reading good books.

1) Just keep writing. The more stories you tell, the more characters you create, the more you will grow
2) Get creative feedback on your stories by joining critique groups like the Online Writing Workshop
3) The one book I recommend reading is Stephen King's book On Writing.
All writers started out as aspiring writers, 99 percent of us faced lots of rejections and had to work hard to get to where we are now. If you love to tell stories, it's always going to be worth it.

Being able to create stories that make an emotional impact on readers, and myself. Through stories, we see the world better, and as a writer, it's a privilege to participate in that.

I don't suffer from writer's block, but I do sometimes get stuck in a plot. I'm what's called a pantser writer (I don't plot heavily, but let my characters, and the drama, take the lead). This sometimes results in the need to stop and work a bit on the plot. That's about as close as I come to writers block.
