Christine M. Knight Thank you for your generous feedback. Yes, my fourth book is titled 'The Other Side of the Rainbow'. Is currently under development.

In the meantime, you may enjoy the songs and music from my novels 'Life Song' and 'Song Bird'. You can hear them on Spotify or buy from iTunes Microsoft Music, Amazon and so on.
Christine M. Knight I'm pleased you've enjoyed the series. I certainly enjoyed writing each novel. Yes, there are more books to come.

In answer to the second part of your question, I draw on real landscapes to create my fictional worlds but mesh the real with the constructed reality. In this series, Keimera draws on the coastal landscape of Kiama and its hinterland, the rural and river landscape of Camden, and inland Goulburn in NSW as well as Shaftesbury House on the Kangaroo River in Queensland.

The music of the landscape in Keimera is an important aspect of that coastal environment. It is ever present and underscores life.

Christine M. Knight Yes, there is another book in this series. All things going well, it will be out in the summer 2016.

Christine M. Knight Advice for Aspiring Writers?

Take the time to craft your story. When you believe is it complete, send it to a professional editor. If you're in Australia, you can apply to the Australian Society of Editors and get someone who is a specialist in your genre.

Do not feel downhearted when your editor provides constructive criticism about your narrative or writing style. That feedback is essential to your future success.

Be open to editorial suggestions. Rewrite the relevant section of your piece to see if the suggestion leads to improvement. When considering the rewrite, decide if it enhanced the reader's journey or if it took the reader off course. If the latter, then feel free to reject the editorial suggestion.

When approaching a publisher, the etiquette is to offer the manuscript to one house at a time. Reading your manuscript has a cost to it in term of dollars and staff time.

Respond promptly to publisher requests. If you delay, you may not get another chance with that house.

Don't hassle publishers. I know the writer's anxiety to get published but you can turn off editors if you hassle them.

Importantly, you may dream of being rich and successful like JK Rowling but be aware that writers belong to the primary producer category. We make the least amount of money from the RRP. JK Rowling's cash flow from writing is the exception not the rule.
Christine M. Knight The idea for 'Song Bird' developed out of my second novel 'Life Song' to date, I've used a central image and/or motif to organise my story telling. The image of the golden guitar as a road for Nikki's journey in 'Song Bird' occurred to me when I was at Tamworth for the Country Music Festival held there each January.
Christine M. Knight I've finished my third novel 'Song Bird' and doing mediation to quieten my imagination. I won't write now for 6 months at least. I may do some research though.
Christine M. Knight I go for an 8 km walk around a nearby lake and imagine my characters' lives from different perspectives. When I come back, I focus on a specific relationship and distill it into a sonnet or a song. I'm also a musician so the problem in composing music to my lyrics frees up my imagination. Song lyrics focus me on what is important in the relationship, the event, or the section of the narrative that I am exploring.
