Domen Jazbec As I work mostly with the elderly, I have noticed over the years how important it is to stay active in all areas of life. Since most of our lives revolve around work, which can sometimes be very stressful, we often forget about other things that are just as important (hobbies, social interaction outside the workplace, proper nutrition, physical activity...). We are aware and familiar with the importance of these areas, but do we really practice them? In most cases, the answer is no, and this is due to time constraints (work, children, grandchildren, chores at home...). Then, all of a sudden, time flies and we are already in retirement. That's when our lives change a lot. There remains at least 10-12 hours of time per day that we previously spent at work. This is how I notice with the elderly that they already fill their time, but what if they are active only in one or two areas, and neglect the others, and then they have problems with movement, cognitive abilities, overweight, depression... depending on which area they neglect . So I came up with the idea to write a short guide with tips on how to stay active even in old age in all important areas of life.
Domen Jazbec I'm currently writing two new books. The first is about cognitive decline in the elderly, and the second is focused on managing chronic health problems and chronic pain.
