I wish I could remember! I do know that One Hundred Years of Solitude opened so many doors (and windows!) for me, and I've read nearly all of Marquez's work. That just naturally lead me to explore more in the region south of the border.

Marquez's setting for One Hundred Years of Solitude has always attracted me. I would love to visit the BuendÃa household and converse with the various characters, especially Ursula, the matriarch of the town. I also would hang out with MelquÃades and discover the source of his amazing feats!
