Glyndon,
The current book I am working on is the sequel to Tallow Jones. Sir Edge is the next book on my docket after that. I'll be starting on it early in 2018 so look for a late spring ETA.

I woke up this morning and there was a spider on me. Webs everywhere.

53 reviews isn't bad for a first novel. Most of my reviews have accumulated for me organically as I put out more books. However, one thing that has helped me is that whenever I speak with a fan that loved the book, I ask them to leave a review. I never tell them what to say, but it works pretty well when they get to have a personal conversation with the Author. It helps them feel like they are a part of the process and by leaving a review they are!

Brian,
For some reason I just saw this. Books Eight and nine are up on Audible as well as the first book of my new series, Noose Jumpers.
Book Ten of the Bowl of Souls will be available in 2-3 weeks.

(view spoiler)[As far as my books go, it has to be Justan and Jhonate, but there are other fun ones. I love the story of Hilt and Beth as well as the long history Faldon and Darlan have. Lenny and Bettie are fiery fun to write.
As far as other fictional worlds, I enjoy the relationship of Perrin and Faille in Wheel of Time and Richard and Kahlan in the Sword of Truth series. (hide spoiler)]

It is being narrated by Andrew Tell right now. He plans to finish with narration and editing some time next week and then we submit it to Audible. From there it takes a week or so to process. Please check out my site trevorhcooley.com for updates.

I have plans for four complete sagas in the Bowl of Souls series. The Moonrat Saga was five books and a novella. The Jharro Grove Saga will be five books as well. The next two sagas will feature the same slate of characters but will take place many years later.
After that, who knows? The Bowl of Souls series is near and dear to my heart and I don't know that I will ever announce a true end. I will, however, focus on new universes and series of books. My next project is called Noose Jumpers and is a fantasy western.

(view spoiler)[The book I am writing now, The Ogre Apprentice, is focused around one of my favorite characters, the ogre, Fist. He has been with me since I was a teenager. I thought the idea of a big lumbering ogre with a heart of gold was a fun one. I thought of how much fun it would be to have a character like that as a best friend.
Then I wondered what it would be like for this ogre as he became smarter and more human in his thought processes. What sort of things would he be interested in. More specifically for this book, how would he be affected knowing how horrible and brutish his race was. How would he respond once he no longer found the females of his own kind appealing.
Fist is faced with this dilemma in this book while he is at the Mage School when members of the tribe he had long thought dead show up wanting his help. (hide spoiler)]

I think about my characters and what kinds of adventures they could go through. I read a lot. I look at my bank account and see that I need to get another book out.

Finish the book. That's the hardest part.
Most likely this first effort won't be very good. Then try your best to make it good through editing. Read other authors in your genre then come back and look at the book with fresh eyes. Get your friends and family to read it and ask them for honest opinions and help[. Don't be offended if they don't absolutely love it.

I try to power through it. Sometimes I read another book or one of the past books in my series trying to recapture the flow of writing.

I am currently working on getting audiobooks done for the Bowl of Souls series. My next project is the third book in the Jharro Grove series due out this fall.

The best part is sharing these characters and the world I've created with others. I spent many years telling friends my ideas and it is an awesome experience to hear back from complete strangers who have fallen in love with these characters.
