This is the series finale of Fairytales of Folkshore, ending with the first on-page wedding and you'll never guess how they got there.

Like before it, this will also be a stand-alone adaptation as well as a crossover! It is Sleeping Beauty merged with Robin Hood! If you’re wondering how that would work, now’s your chance to find out!
It follows Princess Fairuza of Arbore, who we got to know in the Aladdin trilogy which began with Thief of Cahraman ! She is the sister of Prince Leander from the Rosemead duology, whose curse is a lot less direct than her brother’s and lands her in a bit of hot water and a death-like slumber—in more ways than one.

Next will be the last stand-alone adaptations that wrap up the series, what I like to call the Greek mythology phase, Little Mermaid and Hades & Persephone respectively.

But before that will be a Snow White novella, The Snow Princess, starring Keenan and Princess Snezhana, who we met in Princess of Midnight!

I'm very excited for this release, because this is my first standalone adaptation in the series, as well as my first crossover! It is Cinderella merged with the Snow Queen, the fairytale that inspired Frozen.

It follows Ornella Dufreyne, who we got to know in Bonnie's last book and is set in the Faerie city of Midnight!

Next will be other stand-alone adaptations of Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid and Hades & Persephone respectively.

With this book, we enter the third phase of Folkshore. Now that the world, and all our heroines were set up, in the first five, multi-part retellings, we will now continue with STANDALONES!

The first to come is a Cinderella/Snow Queen mash-up, which stars Ornella 'Ella' Dufreyne, who we got to know in Bonnie's last book !

I'm very excited for this book, not only because it's my first adaptation without a follow-up -- what comes after will be Fairuza's book, a Sleeping Beauty retelling -- but it's my first fairy tale crossover. I've always wanted to put my spin on Cinderella and the Snow Queen, the story that inspired Frozen, so I figured I'd merge them together.

I can't wait for you to see what I've done with this idea!

I can't believe I'm wrapping up the second arc in this series. Way back in early 2017, I had first conceived the idea of Folkshore as a town in our world, a gateway to a fantasy land, and drafted what would become , as a portal fantasy. Throughout all the changes, the one constant was the idea for each girl we met in Adelaide's story to star in her own retelling and Bonnie, was there from the start. Like Ada, Bonnie's plot has changed drastically from when I first put pen to paper. But like her adventure in this book, the story took me to places I'd never thought I'd see in this oft-retold tale.

So, I'm proud to say that my Beauty & the Beast retelling, starring Bonnie and her adventures in the Kingdoms of Arbore and Faerie, began with and, through an exciting, unforeseen path, reaches its conclusion with !


Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I hope you'll accompany me through the next phase of the series. This marks the end of the second arc in Fairytales of Folkshore, and finishes fleshing out the world and laying the groundwork for the upcoming heroines and their retellings.

Next up, we can expect Princess of Midnight, a standalone. Cinderella retelling sometime this winter.

Our first departure from the Cahraman Trilogy is the Rosemead duology, with Beauty of Rosemead expected in early autumn. It stars Ada's friend, Bonnie Fairborn and her adventures in the Kingdoms of Arbore and Faerie. In the second half, the story will take an unconventional turn, expanding beyond the typical Beauty & the Beast mythos, and like the Cahraman trilogy before it, will be chock-full of romance, adventure, magic and revelations.

It is the second arc of the Folkshore series, with more retellings to come.

Now, not all of them will be many parts. Since the trilogy already set up the universe and introduced all our future heroines, with this duology expanding upon that, including introducing the settings for the upcoming retellings, Princess of Midnight (Winter 2019/2020?) and Dreamer of Briarfell (Spring 2020?), which will be standalones.
