'Life Song' music video

G'day to readers, it is a magnificent Spring day here in Canberra.

To coincide with the world-wide release date of 'Life Song', a music video will be posted on YouTube and at my website. (No, I don't know how Amazon was able to sell advance copies.)

I'll add the link here as well.

The lyrics and music in the music video are original. It's a slow rock number. I love it, but then again, I could be biased as I wrote the lyrics and music. Yes, I was a musician when I was younger.

A big thank you to Jacqui Lee for playing the part of Mavis in the video and for doing the vocals. Also a big thanks to Shane Edwards of Electric Sun Sydney who produced the music and engineered the sound.

If you've read 'Life Song' already, it is sheer coincidence that the music studio that produced the video is called Electric Sun. I had no idea they existed when I wrote Life Song' and when I created the rock band RedSun.

Keep reading and giving novels life through engaging with them in your imagination.

If you like my books, please tell the world. If you don't send me a private line through Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ or my website contact email at Be constructive.

LIFE SONG available for pre-order

Exciting news! You can pre-order my second novel 'Life Song' set in Australia by going to Amazon

OR through your local book store.

LIFE SONG’s ISBN: 9780987434852

Distributor: Ingrams

Overview: Mavis was born to be a songbird. Her parents named her after one, a bird with a distinctive song worthy of poetry. With her wings clipped by circumstance, Mavis spent six years of her life grounded and her dream of soaring flight almost forgotten. Unexpectedly, Mavis discovers she has a choice: accept a life that is ordinary or be among the one percent that shine. It is a long way to the top in the Australian music industry and more than a name needs to change in order to succeed. It is a grueling challenge with exhausting demands and subtle traps for the uninitiated. Can Mavis make it? Can she build a better life for herself and her son? Can she have it all?

The story draws from three generations of women who learn to make their own brave, sometimes foolish, sometimes late-applied choices to achieve a better life. Male characters are as diverse and complex as the female characters.

Readership (ages 16+): Every generation that has faced life’s challenges and dreamt of a life different from the one being lived. This novel explores trying to find the balance between career, parenthood, and having it all. The themes are discovery, triumphing against the odds, reinvention, disparate families, parenting, friendship, and the nature of love; themes that resonate with all ages.

The Series
Each novel functions as a standalone story but the novels are linked through characters. The Keimera series is metaphorically set across four seasons:

Winter - 'In and Out of Step' (Years 1988-1990)
Spring - 'Life Song' (Years 1996-1998)
Summer ‘Song Bird'
Mellow autumn - title to be decided

NEWS UPDATE

Hi,

For readers who own a Kindle and who have joined its library service, 'In and Out of Step' is now available as a loan novel.

If you read my novel, you need to know that 'In and Out of Step' looks at how the world a person lives in shapes that person for good and for bad.The novel explores the ripple effect of experiences and the impact that the people we meet has on us and how that impact influences the evolving authentic version of self.

'In and Out of Step' is set in a time where women were faced with many issues, many of which continue unresolved today. It is a story about friendship and family, belonging, alienation, sexual harassment, and change.

Tennyson once said, 'I am part of everything I meet.' I believe that to be true but also that everything I meet becomes part of me. 'In and Out of Step' looks at how Cassie Sleight (rhymes with weight) is shaped by the world around her.

If you can see the merit in the story, please tell the world through a review. If you can't, please tell me.
