I’ve hit ŷ!
No, I don’t mean I’ve run it over with my car, I mean Princess Ahira and My Life At the Magical Beings Rehabilitation Center are on there!
GoodReads is a fantastic website that’s basically one huge database of books. It lets you rate and review the books you’ve read or want to read (You don’t need to review, you can only rate if you want.) and gives you suggestions based on what you’ve read and liked. It’s sort of similar to Amazon’s recommendation system, except way bigger! If you haven’t joined YOU NEED TO! I swear this site knows me! It can accurately predict what I’ve read and liked. (It’s almost too .)
I’m pretty stoked to be on there, it’s got some nifty social media concepts, so give me a ring if you’re a member!

Editing x 2Books = “Fun
No, I didn’t fall off a cliff during the holiday season, I’ve merely been editing my brains out.
First of all, I’ve got a YA fantasy story I’m submitting to the. It’s the same story I submitted last year,The Page Turner, but I basically re-wrote it. Only about a dozen scenes from the original book survived because I took out a few characters and added a few more. I thought I had until about January 26th-ish to edit this puppy, since that’s usually about when the contest opens. However, Amazon is playing hard to get this year and has an earlier deadline. I still have to edit that book at least one more time in ten days. Horrah.
But, readers, that is good news for you! Since The Page Turner must be packaged up that quickly, that means I’ll be able to take a stab at editing my next Amazon eBook, Robyn Hood: A Girl’s Tale, much sooner than I originally thought! I should have that book up on Amazon before Valentines Day! Robyn Hood is finished, there’s just some pacing issues that need to be fixed, and it needs at least one general edit before I will consider it fit for you guys.
That’s all my news. After I finish this editing nightmare I should have more interesting/normal posts for you guys. Thanks for reading!

Story Time: Episode 1
It’s time to celebrate, for the first episode of Story Time is here! (Yes, it’s a little late, I’m sorry.)
In this first episode of Story Time I explain what programs were used to make the book trailer for My Life At the Magical Beings Rehabilitation Center, and I briefly discuss what book I plan to release next and when it’s slated for release!
Thanks for watching!

Be Proud Plz!
So I was strangely motivated to really bust my butt this weekend. (I find it best if I don’t question my bursts of productivity, but embrace them and move on.) I finished the book trailer for My Life at the MBRC, which is available on my . (It’s on the right side at the bottom.) I also released a second book on Amazon!
is a humorous, young adult fantasy book, just like My Life at the MBRC. It’s about 120 pages, give or take a few, and it stars Princess Ahira–a tomboyish princess who is kidnapped by dragons. Ahira is taken in by a dragon named Azmaveth–a royal, bookish, and slightly cowardly dragon who fancies himself an inventor of spells and such. Ahira manages to befriend Azmaveth, and enjoys living with him. (Although she wishes he wasn’t such a pig in terms of cleanliness.) Unfortunately, Ahira isn’t visiting the dragons during a peaceful time. The valkyrie, mystical female warriors bent on dominion over magic, are marching against the dragons, and everything—from dragons to gnomes—are rallying together to fight back. What Ahira doesn’t know is that her emotions and romantic life will have a powerful impact on the looming war.
Finally just a quick reminder, I’m recording for my first Story Time tomorrow Thursday, December 13. If you have a question please submit it now! ASAP! I’ll be recording in the afternoon so you have all morning to get your questions to me, just fill out a forum in the “About Story Time page. The Story Time session probably won’t be released until Saturday. I’ll make an announcement on here as well as twitter so you guys can check it out!

I’m Such a Tease
The book trailer for My Life at the Magical Beings Rehabilitation Center is almost finished! The music just needs to be cleaned up a bit, and I’m waiting to hear back from a graphic artist friend of mine to see what she thinks about the font I decided to go with. (She’s ridiculously picky about font, but she always is right so I beg her for help every time.) Hopefully it will be on Amazon next week Monday!
Speaking of the book trailer, my first Story Time will be focusing on it. I’ll mostly be talking about how I made it, what kind of resources I used, ect, but of course I’ll answer anything you guys ask me! I’m planning on recording Story Time next week Thursday (December 13) so if you DO have a question you need to send it to me before then. (Just fill out the form on the About Story Time page!) This is a working date, so it may end up changing.
Until then, Geek out my friends!

Taking Care of Business
Hunter Weller sighed as he leaned back in his chair and pushed away from his desk. He stood up and turned around, clasping his hands behind his back as he stared at the Chicago skyline. He frowned, the view from his new office location wasn’t nearly as good as the previous building, but Morgan Fae had outright told him she was never, ever, ever going to visit him again.
You’re lucky I’m still talking to you, Morgan had angrily told him, prodding him with a finger when Hunter complained that this was unreasonable. I’m saying some serious groveling needs to be done, Hunter. Kidnapping is a federal offense. Don’t think I’m going to let you off easy.
Hunter chose to interpret this as Morgan was unwilling to return to the headquarters at which he had held her. Soon, he thought, he might be able to convince her to come visit again. It was almost two months after the kidnapping. All he had to do was bring some baked goods from his chefs and Morgan would begin breaking.
The young goblin leader shoved his hands in his pockets and shrugged his shoulders. “I have time, he stated to the skyline. “Aysel hasn’t yet swallowed his pride enough to think of Morgan in that way. Frey was never really interested Devin is my only serious competition, I believe. And I doubt he is serious about her. The Pooka is never serious about anyone.
“…Sir? One of his minions, Logan, asked, knocking on Hunter’s office door.
“Yes? Hunter acknowledged, turning around.
Logan opened the door and slipped into the office. “I delivered the bouquet of flowers, as ordered. Miss Morgan gave them to her elderly neighbor and shredded the card.
That was nothing new. “How did she look?
“Slightly frazzled. The bodyguard you assigned to her reported that she spent the day with her best friend, Fran, and Fran’s boy friend., Logan paused to take a peek at the small notepad he held.
“Brett Patterson, Hunter said, filling in the name with disgust. “That’s right, I’m sure being with him would upset her. Send her another Jamba Juice giftcard. And Logan.
پ?
Hunter was silent and Logan ventured to speak again. “You want one of our men to meet Brett Patterson in a dark alley?
Hunter shook his head, making up his mind. “I do, but Morgan will de-friend me on Facebook if she hears about it. No, keep surveillance on Morgan. If Brett proves to be a continued nuisance I’ll act. Until then it’s better to keep Morgan placated. Thank you Logan, that will be all.
Logan bowed at the waist and left the room, leaving Hunter to his musings.
“I will win you back over, Morgan, Hunter said, sitting down in his chair. “No matter what sacrifices to my pride I’ll have to commit.

A MBRC Dinosaur in the…Bones!
This is an honest-to-gosh photo of a dinosaur in the Chicago Field Museum. Just don’t let Morgan’s students from the MBRC see it. They’ll never shut up.
Before I wrote the Chicago Field Museum scenes in I visited the museum in a scouting trip. This is a snapshot of one of the dinosaurs in the museum. It’s not the ones Morgan’s students were complaining about, those are found in a different section, but it is the skeleton that was featured in the blockbuster movie, Night At The Museum.
This has been…Picture This! Thank you and good night!
