I'm confused on the whole thing that happened with Howie and Jazz's grandma. Was one of them shot? How did the grandma die? How was Howie injured?

Okay, I'm just going to ask. You know how most books give recaps to a fault, well Blood of My Blood doesn't. I read Game (wow, really?) almost two years ago. I can't remember what was going on with Howie at the end, or what was in the box, or even the details about what happened with Jazz and Morales. Could someone who does remember catch me up? Hide the spoilers, so it doesn't ruin it for others.
