I think it is. I have been in leadership roles in the past and know I could have used it then, I even picked up tips and valuable information in this book for my career in general. I recently have given this book to my manager to read, we work for a global company and he is in a high position but to get even further he applied for internal leadership course. He was accepted and asked to borrow the book. I hope my answer helps you in some way.
