The big questions about life, relationships, love, death, work... I could go on. I first read it as a teenager, but whenever I go back to it I find something new. This is a masterpiece.(less)

Amy Cameron Although the book itself takes place throughout an entire year, it gives me a distinct feeling of early spring. I think it's the constant mentioning oâ€¦m´Ç°ù±ðAlthough the book itself takes place throughout an entire year, it gives me a distinct feeling of early spring. Thinking about suggesting this book for my high school book club (grades 9-11), do you think it would be a good idea?Is it too explicit? Hard to comprehend? I'm mostly concerned about any overt sex/drug themes, thank you

I haven't finished the book yet so please don't give any spoilers, but how old is Simon? I thought at one point there was an indication he was 30. Was anyone else a little bothered at how he kept calling Cassandra "child" and then kisses her? I know the book takes place in the 1930s but still it seems, well, I guess inappropriate is the best word .
