I see here that this is considered the 5th Discworld book, but I am reading it after only The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic...because that's the order on a reading order chart I found. I hope I am not going to miss anything this way?

Is there anybody who is reading / has read this in German? I'm always interested in translation solutions - and I really would like to know how the problem of "geas" (a big bird?) was tackled. If you have a German version, would you mind having a look how "geas" was translated (literally it woud be "geis" but that does not lend itself to the big bird joke)? I'd really appreciate it.
