I found this book very disturbing to read although I ended up racing through the last third of it. I wanted Salma to change but perhaps she will never be able to do that . Or has so much rage still that nothing may assuage it. She did things all throughout the book that caused great distress to her husband and child. That frustrated me very much. So I actually wasn’t surprised by the ending.(less)
