WOW! Is the first word that came to my mind when I read the story. While the cover is drool worthy, the story is much better. Kudos to the cover designer.

This book contains a little bit of everything from a hot steamy attraction from the get go between the hero and heroine but it also has several neat little surprises that make the book worthwhile.

Don't read any further if you don't want me to spoil the fun but I left the most important parts out so you might be okay.

The story has a unique way of adding an element of danger for Nikki Thornton when she begins the stressful job of renovating her deceased friend’s, Chloe Lissander, home to meet the standards of the Historical Society. Along the way, she encounters Chloe’s relatives who don’t want her to have the house but why is that? They’ll stop at nothing to get what they want (not going to spoil what it is they‘re after). Then throw in a sexy neighbor who has a body likes she’s never seen before. But wait he has problems of his own!

Brad is just the friendly next-door neighbor who loves to help whenever possible but his own problems, PTSD and injuries from the job might get in the way. Rest assured he doesn’t let it get him down. Between Brad, the stray dog that befriends him, Nikki and her pack of critters - she rescues along the way - they get to the bottom of things including solving the mystery as to why Chloe’s family doesn’t want her to renovate the house.

Joanne’s ability to tell a story with unique and delicious details is amazing.

Cute story, but? the problem I have when reading a very predictable happy ending Romance is when the H/h fall fast, and hard for each other at the beginning, make a commitment by the end...but never say the 3 little words that seem to seal the deal, at least for my interpretation of a "happily ever after"...their relationship just loses some of its depth for me... did I just say depth? about a HB Romance, lol

Ms Rock has give us another Harlequin Blaze, great sexy book.

Highly Charged not only has loads of hot sex, but it also has a bit of intrigue.

Nikki has to learn that sex isn't all that's needed in a relationship.

Nikki's searching for two diaries her friend Chloe hid before she died.

Brad wants to keep Nikki safe from someone who wants to find her friend Chloe's diaries first to keep them from being published.

He also has to get past the horrors of a bomb going off before he could disarm it. He has to get past the nightmares of a child he befriended and the child's father who lost an arm saving his son when the bomb went off.

Can Brad and Nikki find the diaries first and discover why someone doesn't want them published.

Can they find real love and not just hot steamy sex.

Read the book and find out.

The only thing I didn't like about this book, is the cover. The sexy guy on the cover doesn't look military.

Highly Charged! is explosive from the get go. Nikki Thornton is renovating her dear friend’s property that she has inherited and catches sight of her neighbour who leaves her drooling behind the bushes.

Brad Riddock is desperate to get back to work but he is struggling to get over the vivid nightmares that haunt his dreams. That is until he meets his luscious neighbour who he will do anything for and protect.

This is an enjoyable quick read that is sexy with an element of suspense as Nikki discovers the truth about her dear friend’s secret and overcoming the family threats by her deceased friend’s family.

Part of Blaze Subscription on . Between audiobooks and , I am getting waaaay too much Spring Cleaning done!

What you would expect from a Blaze title although better than most I've read lately. It was a hot, fun read. Perfect for the beach even if you're just gazing at the cover.

The angst and emotional intensity in this story is why I adore romance novels. Joanne Rock never disappoints - I highly recommend this one. :-)

I loved the mystery of this book and the ending was wonderful, but there where dull parts in this book and slow start. I just couldn't get into it that well.
