This is as fair, & well researched, as any I've yet read.

Miller (who published Gary Renard's 1st book) is a temperate, judicious writer; careful not to poke fun or push judgments. I admire that.

It told me much about the breadth of course-related teachers; gave some idea of how they headed off into novel direction of their own; & made me feel less like somebody looking out of the dark woods at a coven gathered around a campfire.

I **know** the course works for me, after all these years; & appreciate having a taste of how it works (or not) for others.

I did not read the entire thing. I read parts 1 & 2 but not part 3. After learning the history of The Course in Part 1, I could barely get through Part 2. I read on anyway but had already decided that I did not want to read The Course itself. I think this book is great if you are doing research on The Course and it certainly is a complete story of it starting with the life story of its author so I gave it 5 stars for being consistent with what it promised to deliver in its title.
