Skylar Carter a shy, widowed dressmaker, and disowned from her affluent family, finds herself again married to the same type of man she vowed never to get involved with, all because she let go of her reserve for one night. Now she was in a name only marriage with a man that hates her. USN Commander Benjamin Smith was floored when he see the beautiful dressmaker sitting at the family table at his sister wedding. He was instantly drawn to her in a way he had never experienced. He wants her to be his at least for a little while. After a night of unbridled passion Ben wasn't sure he could let her go. Until he thinks Sky has betrayed him, forcing him to do something he never wanted, and Benjamin is never forced to do anything he did not want. Now he is married Sky making it clear it the marriage will be in name only. As he and Sky begin to share a home, he begins to wonder was he wrong about her?

BRIEF SUMMARY
Skylar is very shy and keeps to herself. While designing a wedding dress for a bride, the mother of the bride invites her to the wedding. At the wedding, she meets the bride's brother, Benjamin. Benjamin is a US Naval Commander, who felt an immediate attraction to Skylar. When both succumb to their attraction, it results in an unwanted marriage in name only.
THOUGHTS
This was a really good story from start to finish. We get to read three main characters within this book, Skylar, Ben and Ben's family. I enjoyed the way the author incorporated everyone in the story, it allowed the family to play an important part throughout the story. This detailed book includes family, love and the big misunderstanding /mistake that the plot is based on. Sky was widowed at a young age. Her husband was a drunk and never had anything nice to say to her, which gave her a shy and reclusive personality. Ben was sexy and sweet until he became mean and selfish, but later redeemed himself. The opening scene of the book was the big wedding of Ben's sister. At the wedding, both Skylar and Ben’s chemistry were so strong, that it sets the pace for the rest of the story. If you enjoy a good story with the ingredients of family, Sunday dinners and love, then this would be the read for you.
I never do this and I don't enjoy doing it for this review, however, I have to inform the readers. Normally, I don't care if a book is supported by a publishing company, self published, and or if it has errors I can bypass. However, this book had an enormous amount of errors, extreme volumes that even I found distracting. I was able to get through the book, because for me the story was good and enjoyable. This story deserves a 5 star rating, but I decided on 4 stars. My rating of the book is solely based upon the story but had to drop a star from the ratings. If you want to read the book based on the story, I encourage it. If you prefer differently, then this may annoy you and hinder you from enjoying the book. I will read more of the author’s books because I think she is extremely talented.

Ben need his a$$ whipped for treating that sweet girl like that. Skylar is too good for him. He does not deserve her, he has no redeeming qualities about him. His stubbornness was to an extreme that was uncalled for. Then he disrespected Sky on several occasions with Dina. Who by the way, needs Herbert kicked as well. In addition, there wasn’t any growth to Ben’s character. At some point, he needed to come to the realization that something is inherently wrong with him for him to feel like the way that he feels whenever he feels forced to do something. Then it is hard to believe that he’s in the armed forces because you definitely have to submit there. Also, we never got a description of the babies.

Let me tell you how angry this book made me. When she told him she was pregnant and his reaction, I was incandescent with rage. How in the world would she let him even come near her and she had married and lost a prick like him? Her desperate behind fell in love with him. You tried to pretty it up, but he still said some awful things to her, ugly things. Then you begun to write it as a love story. It is not that much love in the world that would make me stay with him. This is my first time reading your books, I have to really think about if I want to read another one. He treated her badly, awful. There is nothing in this world that would make me disown my babies. My babies have done some things that they need to get disowned for. IT IS THEIR LIFE. LET THEM LIVE IT. JUST BE THERE IF THEY SINK OR SWIM. LOVE THEM.

GREAT STORY 👍
I enjoyed and loved reading about Ben and Sky's love. This was a very good read, and I would definitely recommend reading this book I don't think you will regret getting it. Great story as usual Vivian Rose Lee. Please keep these wonderful stories coming. Thank you. 🙏❤�

Misogynist
The main character of this book was trampled over by the male lead and everyone was "ok" with it. His mom, brother, everyone just felt the he deserved the lead so they looked over his poor treatment of her. I would not recommend this book and I'm angry I spent money on it.

Skylar and Benjamin
Benjamin saw 👀 Skylar st a wedding, and Benjamin, and were attracted to one another and started a relationship. This a misunderstanding happens. Ben had issues with Sky. Fantastic steamy, sexual , sensual and delightful romantic entertainment.

Oh I loved it. It was great. Sky she had a heart of gold. Ben was on my bad side for awhile, but he got together. Dina needed a good slapping. Fantastic read!!

Touching story
One of my favorite Amazon books. I've read it 20+ times and it still makes me laugh and cry. There are a few minor typos, but I love this story.

With as often as I have read this book, I really should have written this review along time ago. I have honestly read In Name Only nearly once a year since I purchased the book in 2012. This story is great if you are looking for an emotional roller coaster ride. One second, I was laughing, the next I was mad and ready to strangle that twit, Dina and the next second, I was wanting to cry.
I really liked Skylar; she has survived some pretty hard knocks. Ben needs surgery to pull his head out of his arrogant pathetic ass. It a pity Skylar didn’t get relocated before Ben caught up to her, he should have been forced to chase her down giving him time to cool down and think before opening his stupid mouth.
I do like In Name Only and should give it a 5-star rating after the number of times I have read it but with the number of edits that need fixing I just can’t do that. The story flows well for the most part as far as continuity in the story line goes it’s the extra words or missing words that create the speed bumps in that detract from the story. If the author ever decides to edit this book, I will be happy to change my review.

Alpha Man meets Real Woman!
This story started out one way and then took a sharp turn and went another way. This is not to imply the story was bad. In fact, the story was rather amazing. A Navy office was instantly in lust with the dress designer at one of his family members wedding. The Skylar was also a friend to his meddling mother and sister in-law. When Benjamin met Skylar at the reception, he was hooked like phonics. Then after a weekend of loving a few weeks later they discovered Skylar was pregnant. Benjamin freaked out, said some harsh things before forcing her to marry him to save his career as a Navy Officer. He waffled back and forth about his feeling for her, not wanting to admit his true feelings. I was happy Skylar did not let him treat her like a doormat.. Skylar was strong and true to her heart. I liked her character, as she was relatable; she was very real. Overall this was a well told story about second chances and finding true love, even for arrogant men like Benjamin Smith..

This book is a little hard to rate.. Reading the story was horrible, absolutely HORRIBLE because of all the typos and editing problems.. At least an error on every other word but I found myself reading the word and substituting the right word (but thats a bit much, I want to read the story not try and figure out what its supposed to be).. If this book had been edited I think it would be a really good read (probably a 4 star for me) but since its not its more of a two star.. I gave 3 because in spite of the errors I found that I enjoyed the book.. I read a sample of another book from this author and see that the editing problem isnt only with this book so Im hestitating to buy more..
My advice for the author, please please get an editor... It doesnt even have to be an editor maybe just someone that can read and can detect the errors..

Wow, this book intrigued me from the moment I began the "look inside". I am a hopeless romantic and I love a great read that shows both sides of the characters. This novel is a wonderful choice for those of us that still believe in chivalry, romance, family bonds and true love. You will not be disappointed with this story. Talk about a roller coaster ride of emotions. This is one of those stories that you can't stop reading because you so desperately want the couple to make it. All in all it is a fantastic novel. I would definitely recommend this book as well as read from Ms Lee again. Great drama, great book.

I enjoyed this book and finished it in a couple of hours. I must warn readers that the book is INCOMPLETE as it relates to grammar. However I knew this before purchasing because of the reviews on Amazon. Therefore I purchased at the risk of knowing it was a HUGE non-proofread MESS (aka HAM).
But the bottom line is the story line was GOOD and the book was cheap so I figured why not.
Being that I knew this (non-editing) I have to rate it as 4 stars and I really liked it. Flaws and all.
Funny thing is if I would’ve read it not knowing about the flaws, I would have been MEGA MAD.

Just Beautiful
This book shows that the choices we make are not always the best. However, all we have to do is pick ourselves up and move on. Sky did just that. When she met Commander Benjamin Smith, things were looking better ( or so she thought). Ms. Lee did a wonderful job once again by including all the elements of emotions throughout this story. I will admit that I have read and re-read this story at least ten times in the last six months. Great job!!!! Looking forward to the latest release.

STORYLINE WAS GOOD, ROMANTIC, SEXY(KINDA LIGHT IN THAT, PRETTY LITE) AND FRUSTRATING. I LIKED THE BOOK BUT THE TWO MAIN CHARACTERS BENJAMIN & SKYLAR MADE ME SO VERY ANGRY. THE REASON; SKY FOR BEING SO WEAK (MISPLACED HER BACK BONE) AND BEN FOR BEING SO VERY PIGHEADED AND HIS MEAN BEHAVIOR. STORY SHOWED WHAT THE SUPPORT OF A GOOD FAMILY, YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH JUST ABOUT ANYTHING. KEEP A BOX OF TISSUES HANDY, YOU'RE GONNA NEED 'EM.

A very sweet love story. The first book I have read by Ms. Rose. About a young dress maker who meets s Military lawyer at a wedding. She spends the night with him and the next day he is sent away for 3 months. She finds out she is pregnant and (no more spoilers). Read it, I am sure you will enjoy it.

IN LOVE ALWAYS
I have read this book several times and each time I find myself full of joy, beyond pissed off, the betrayal should should have felt, happy, angry and through it all loved. This is one of the first books that has made me appreciate this author. This book is like the roller coaster ride you never want to get off. Enjoy the story.

I really enjoyed this story. Timid, reserved and shy seamstress whose been hurt and rejected by those that she loves meets good looking, outgoing and sexy Navy Commander. After 1 too many glasses of champaigne Skylar loosens up, relaxes and lets go!
