This was a good story with great potential, but it fell short in a couple of ways. The editing process was bad. A character would be talking on the phone, then doing something completely different. (she never hung up and walked across the room) There were also a couple of times she meant to say, "JD thought of his kids" but she said, "Braedon thought of his kids". (jd was the dad, and Braedon was a single man). If things like that make you crazy like they do me, you may not enjoy this book. The love story was cute, but didn't follow any natural progression of a relationship- it just jumped around between hot and cold. Interesting plot however :)

For a Mormom, military, murder mystery, it was not too bad. I there were elements of the LDS culture thrown in, but nothing too cheesy or preachy. I did have to read carefully because the author switched POV between 4 characters without warning, one paragraph you could be reading one sister, the next her love interest, and the next her other sister. Nice clean read.

I hadn't read an LDS novel for a while, but this one was really good! I liked that it was more about the mystery than the romance or their faith. It kept me interested; I guess you could say I couldn't put it down, but not in a "I'm staying up all night to read" kind of way. Great story, likable characters; I'd recommend it.

I enjoyed this book until it got to the melodramatic, incredible climax. But that was only a few pages and I think the editors at Covenant must insist on this nonsense, even though most LDS romance/suspense novels would be better without it. Otherwise I had a hard time putting the book down and recommend it as above average for the genre. I look forward to reading other Jennie Hansen books.

I love Jennie's books. She is one of my favorite romantic intrigue authors. She's always got a great story line and they are simple, fun and entertaining to read. When I just want something to take my mind away from all the business books and just sit back and enjoy, Jennie's books are great!

I lived in Washington State for 6 years. It was fun to read about places I remember. It was funny when she was talking about the house with all the flowers in the front yard and I knew exactly what house she was talking about. Suspenseful-easy read.

Clean LDS romance. This was a mildly interesting, mildly exciting, and mildly mysterious book. I did a lot of skimming just so that I could finish it. This was not as good as some of her other books.

I love all this authors writings. They are all great for Adult and Young adult alike. One never needs to fear anything in her books would be inappropriate. This one has more mystery in it than some. Very well written.

The book was really good... But I thought the ending was a let down. The author did a great job of building up the story but then at the end, I felt like it was rushed and she just wanted to be done writing it.

It's the first book I've read of hers and I liked it. Her style of writing is interesting because the character telling the story changes from paragraph to paragraph. At first I thought it would be distracting, but I kind of like knowing what everyone's thinking as the plot develops.

Interesting mystery set in Tacoma, WA. Since I used to live 30 minutes from there I enjoyed that part. Clean book about a girl who witnessed her fathers murder and no one believed her. Many years later, she help solve the mystery of her missing father.

Just okay. I liked it at first but as the "mystery" unraveled I got annoyed with the story telling. It wasn't really consistent.

A good suspense book. I didn't guess what and how things were going to happen as easily as some other books. I may enjoyed it more if I wasn't sick when I read it.

I liked the adventure and characters. Towards the end it got a little unbelievable, but then, that's not too out of the ordinary.

About a woman who witnesses a horrifying event as a child and how she deals with her past and unravels the mystery. It's suspenseful without being graphic. Oh ya, and it's a romance too (:
