In the heat of passion, Peter tricks Jillian into making a promise to participate in a week of sexual adventure with him and his best friend, Sean. Jillian has been very attracted to both men for a long time but questions the propriety of such a relationship and also wonders how two gorgeous men could be so attracted to her.Ìý Peter and Sean want far more than just sex with Jillian. They want her with them forever, and are determined to persuade her to keep the promise she made. A careless action, also made in the heat of passion, will take the final decision out of all of their hands and decide the future for them all.
Allyson Young lives in cottage country in Manitoba, Canada with her husband of many years and numerous pets. She worked in the human services all across Canada and has seen the best and worst of what people bring to the table. Allyson has written for years, mostly short stories and poetry, published in small newspapers and the like, although her work appeared in her high school yearbooks too! After reading an erotic romance, quite by accident, she decided to try her hand at penning erotica.
Allyson will write until whatever she has inside her is satisfied- when all the heroes man up and all the heroines get what they deserve. Love isn’t always sweet, and Allyson favours the dark side of romance.
Before anything else, let me just say...Thank HEAVENS I got this as a e-book. I meant, no offense, but the front cover is too smarmy, even for me. As stated in previous reviews, BDSM really isn't my thing. So if I am able to not only read, but complete a book of this genre, then you award yourself immensely. Yes, I actually managed to enjoy a BDSM book. That doesn't mean that all is well though. I think the main reason I wasn't too offended with this book is because there isn't too much emphasis on control. Yes, Sean does assert some dominance in the book, but he wasn't overbearing to the point of me quitting the book. He was actually mild, compared to some characters I've read about.
Alright, time for the breakdown:
Main Thoughts On Main Characters
Jillian Jillian is an independent lawyer who somehow got tricked (during an evening of passion) to join a threesome with her coworkers Sean and Peter. She is a sub with her own mind, and she doesn't allow them to use their dom attributes outside the bedroom. Also, she is assertive, so nothing she doesn't want happens. Peter The coworker whom Jillian slept with and tricked her into joining the threesome. Used to go to dom/sub clubs, but retired. Sean The clear Dom in the bedroom, he orchestrates most of the scenes.
Background There is some background info, as we learn that they are all lawyers, and the story begins with Jillian waking up with a slight hangover from partying over her latest success case. The story really doesn't require too much, as they spend the whole book in Peters house (or was it Seans?)
Character Development
There really wasn't much of a character development, but we the character of the people. Even then, it's not that much, but then again, it's an erotica. We all know where the focus is.
Speaking of...
Sex Scenes
The one thing I like about BDSM is the amount of creativity when it comes to sex. Apart from one scene where , all the scenes were hot and inventive. Sex Scene Rating : 4/5
WRAP - UP All in all, this was a satisfying read for me, considering the genre and all. I stuck through it to the end, and that in itself, is a big accomplishment.
Sometimes when you are used to being the woman in charge it is good to let someone else take over. That is how Jillian felt after finally acting on her attraction toward her coworker Peter. After celebrating the completion of a presentation for a big client she finds herself naked and pleasantly sore. When the memory of the promise she made comes forward, Jillian thinks she made a mistake and tries to talk her way out of it. How on Earth could she promise to let two men control her for an entire week? When Peter's partner Sean shows up and sternly reminds Jillian of the promise she made, Jillian realizes that backing out is not an option.
Sean and Peter have wanted to dominate Jillian for some time. Now that they have her, they intend to show her how pleasurable pain can be. What they don't realize is that Jillian loves to give as much as she gets and believes in equal pay for equal play. She agrees to let the team dominate her but only if she can give them a taste of their own medicine in return. After reluctantly accepting the terms the duo proceed to strap, stretch, whip, wax and pleasantly torture her into falling for them. It is only when a figurative wrench is thrown into the plan that Jillian questions her future and wonders if one bad decision could change her life forever.
I really really enjoyed this book and found myself giggling at the interactions between the three characters. While Peter and Sean dominate Jillian, it is very clear that she is still in charge. She allows them to push her limits but does not hesitate to remind them that there will be hell to pay for leaving her sore. It is obvious that the men are not actual doms and they remind me more of two frat boys planning out their fantasy bondage session with a sorority girl. They show that they are willing to submit to Jillian and even allow her to turn the tables on them with some of the toys they bought for her. With some seriously hot bondage scenes and a reinactment of a porn star fisting session that will make you squeal, this book left me smiling and wanting to be the voyeur to their next playdate. Fun and daring!
Had good potential... from the first few pages, it seemed as if it would be a good read. But this book ended up being more than a little aggravating!
The author got bogged down into minute details - like when the trio decides to date as pairs and then as a trio. But the logistics of how they decide what they do on these dates and who goes with whom when and what the "rules" of the dates are... YIKES! Pages and pages of discussion and then the mind-numbing process of drawing and collating the "votes" and the schedule... WHO CARES?
It felt as if there wasn't enough story. Or that the author was so busy trying to work out her own concerns about how such a relationship would unfold in a realistic way, that she killed the fun and the "romance" of the overall story and characters.
Very hot steamy BDSM read, while this book was highly sexual there are moments of connections between the characters and some very thoughtful tender moments too and moments of misunderstanding but the combination of all this make the book a very hot steamy read.I also liked the fact that the female character was a bit overweight, but learned to love her body as much as her partners did.Liked the heroine got the chance to turn the tables on the heroes in their 'play' time and give them a taste of their own play. I would be interested to see how these characters are doing later on down the track if the author does a second book.
This was just OK for me, it had potential but didn't quite succeed. The end especially was lacking. It was pretty steamy though and it filled a spot on my challenges!
