Outer Orbit by Zach Howard

Rate this book
In space, no one can hear you scream... or belch, or swear, or cry like a little girl when you're about to be taken down by merciless interstellar bounty hunters who want that mysterious idol you swiped from that hot chick who inexplicably gave you the tip of a lifetime (if you know what I mean) when you showed up at the wrong hotel room with a pizza delivery. This assumes that "you" are ne'er-do-well big-talker Quinn and explains - sort of - how you hooked up (not like that!) with a badass ex-cop (and current mama's boy) named Krunk, who would just as soon kill you as look at you, if not both. By the way, the hot chick is now really hot - in the bad way - and this time she's probably going to tip you with a laser ax or a plasma grenade or something. Try talking your way out of that one, spacehole!

Absolutely an era piece... a lot of the verbiage is out of date and in today’s diverse climate might be seen as offensive. However I believe when looking at a piece you have to view it from the time period it was created in 2006. It a fun little story of space shenanigans mixed with robbery story. I would compare the two main characters a play on Two Stupid Dogs. Lastly I could have given three stars but I really enjoyed the art style!

this is not a masterpiece , but it was good, as a fan of Sean Gordon Murphy, it was good to read earlier works, this is a bit of a goofy space adventure but , still a good read , more so if you like sean murphy s art , this is far from the new art is producing these days .

I'm currently reading this work because it's one of the few Sean Gordon Murphy comic books I hadn't gotten around to reading yet. Both Sean and Zach are visiting my local comic book shop and I wanted to finish reading this book before I get their autographs.

I liked this work, I guess it'd be labeled by today's hip expressions as: "A space bro-mance" but I'm not sure if the raunchy humor is going to appeal to everyone. There's only one female character and while she's integral to the plot she's not portrayed in a nice fashion, which would be off-putting to many readers of the fairer sex and understandly so.

This is the first book where I bought each issue AND the trade. That way I knew I could lend one out and still be guaranteed a copy of my own.
