Who am I, and what have I caused?
I've been asking myself that plenty of times. Well now I know I'm a Demigod, so that changes things; if anything,
it adds more weight to this. Now there are Monsters hunting me and I have to escape across the country with two
Demigods to get to safety. That's not even half of it. What about the calamity of the fighting between the Gods?
And Levaveus? How do I fight in these circumstances? I can't forget any of this. Not even for a second.
How will I take accountability in this world, which should not even exist?

I will do what I must.

In Ibrahim Shabazz's Jason Side Identity, readers dive into a riveting world where identity gains profound significance. The narrative starts with a potent exploration of Acceptance and Admittance, propelling protagonist Jason Side into a realm rife with Gods, monsters, and repercussions of his newfound demigod status. Amidst suspenseful action and introspection, the characters' struggles with self-discovery enrich the tale.

However, Jason's subdued presence and Asher's prominence in key dialogues warrant attention. The leisurely story commencement suggests a potential for editing to heighten engagement. Shabazz's world-building shines with a unique perspective on divine mythology. Despite nuances, it's a compelling start to an unfolding saga, recommended for urban fantasy, mythology, and adventure enthusiasts.

"Jason Side Identity" by Ibrahim Shabazz is a gripping fantasy tale that smoothly blends action, gods, monsters, and deep thinking. Imagine this: Jason goes on a big journey to find out who he really is, all in the middle of a mess with something unexpected. The author is really good at telling stories, making it all about characters and Jason's personal growth, with some exploring of deep thoughts.

While the book keeps you hooked with its exciting plot, always keeping you on your toes, there's one thing—it's a big one, more than 500 pages. Sometimes, the story takes it slow. But don't worry, it's worth it, especially if you like detailed and immersive fantasies.

What really stands out is the characters; they add depth to the story. Beyond the fantasy stuff, the novel dives into deep thinking areas, adding an extra layer for readers who like to think about life's big questions. "Jason Side Identity" is more than a fantasy read; it's a captivating journey that promises a great experience for those who like thought-provoking tales.

“What is Identity? Well, it’s all connected, admitted, and accepted!

Jason Side Identity is a fantastic work which is a mix of a highly entertaining plot and full of wild adventures carefully blended with lots of human emotions. Ibrahim Shabazz has done lots of research before bringing in such a convincing plotline including the creation of a magical fictional world around it.

The story is written in a first-person perspective, and it revolves around the primary character Jason. A young boy raised in foster care where he was cared. Jason isn't expecting school to be any fun. But when a mysterious acquaintance appears at his school, followed by monsters and demigods, things quickly move from bad to worse.

On understanding that he is a demigod, Jason starts his quest to find out about his parents and where his roots are from. On the other side, he also needs to fight against the monsters to keep his world safe. The adventures of Jason were more towards the journey of self-discovery but still had its terrifying moments where each challenge he faces comes through.

The chapters are very organized and well-structured. Each chapter begins with a title that imposes a philosophical question, which is a thought-provoking one and it truly aids the reader to the path of self-realisation. The narrative is very creative, and Ibrahim has introduced a beautiful fictional world where the reader can enjoy his presence through imagination throughout the story. The characters are well crafted, and the introduction of the secondary characters has not only added a sense of relief to the main character, but it has also made the story more enjoyable.

I truly enjoyed this book, and I would highly recommend it to those who are urban fantasy lovers. Ibrahim has done an amazing job in bringing out such a captivating story blended with loads of imagination that is truly enjoyable. I wish to see more such works in the future. I would rate this book with 5 out of 5 stars.

Jason Side Identity is a thrilling ride into a world where reality and fiction collide.

If you love fantasy books with mythical beings, demigods, monsters, secret identities and divine conflicts, with character-driven stories, then Jason Side Identity is a rewarding read for you! It’s fresh and unique and will keep you engaged throughout.

I don't get to read fantasy books with male protagonists often, so Jason was fun to read. He is a complex, multilayered yet highly likable protagonist whom I can't help but root for.

Jason, a high school student with orange eyes and white hair, discovers his demigod identity, that leads to a perilous journey with fellow demigods, while navigating divine conflicts and the chaos of mythical beings.

The side characters Ms. Grey who adds a layer of mysticism, and Asher who provides comedic relief amidst mythical chaos, are interesting and make the story more enjoyable. The characters are well-crafted, evolving through a tale of growth and self-acceptance.

The author has an expressive and detailed prose that brings scenes to life, creating a vivid cinematic experience. The world-building is immersive, the cast of characters is memorable and Jason's journey resonates deeply.

Jason Side Identity tackles self-exploration, thrill, and fantasy with finesse. The seamless blend of ordinary with extraordinary, present-day struggles, growing pains of self-discovery, the complexities of found family, mythical elements, suspense, and philosophical musings make it a thought-provoking captivating read, more than just a fantasy escapade.

Highly recommended to all fantasy readers. And the fans of Percy Jackson.

My first read of the year! I started this title before Christmas and I have to say it definitely kept me entertained over the holidays. Perfect for fans of mythology, especially lovers of Percy Jackson will fall for this title.

Filled with self discovery, growing pains, found family, and adventure, Jason Side is a story of self acceptance. The author gives us a mix of Gods and Monsters. The world building was great, the pace of the story starts off a bit slow but things start taking a turn.

One of the things I enjoyed about this story is the thought provoking, making the reader ponder and search between the lines of the story for more than meets the eye. I like stories that make us question things and analyze our purpose.

Our main character is Jason, a demigod working on finding himself. I was intrigued with his story. The side characters turned to be the main focus of the story, which wasn’t a bad thing but I truly would’ve loved to learn more about Jason. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Huge thanks to the author for gifting me a copy. All opinions are my own.

When I first started Jason Side Identity, I was pleased with the cast's diversity. Like many of the individuals in this novel, Jason, our primary character, is African American. Diverse reading, in my opinion, helps readers develop their minds and lessens stigma and division among various social groups. Readers will be particularly struck by how large Jason's side identity is. By no means is the book short. It is quite thorough and has a length of about 550 pages. There are a few very philosophical passages that will make you think deeply. The world-building and teaching of the author's own intricate mythology are done in a fresh, approachable, and easily understood manner. Jason finds out who he is in the second half of the book, which is a blur of fast-paced action sequences and revelations. You might want to give this some thought if you enjoy magical skills, demi-gods, and evil beasts.

Young readers will be intrigued by this unusual tale, especially those who enjoy Percy Jackson. We follow the narrative of a young man perceived as an anomaly in his town, Jason Side. Following his daily routine, he scarcely interacts with society at first, viewing the world as an outsider on a voyage of self-discovery.

The author frequently goes into great depth to depict Jason's inner thoughts as he takes in his surroundings. While reading, the reader has the impression that Jason is hiding something extraordinary, which will soon come to light. This part of the narrative held my interest as I wondered what precisely was happening to Jason, who keeps having strange interactions with people who seem to know about a major event that is about to happen. There seemed to be unique significance in every paragraph of the story. Young adults who like mythology, gods, and the way imagination and reality collide will find this story of self-discovery enjoyable.

Identity. What is the essence of such a thing? Couldn’t an identity be anything thought up in the heads of people? Is it something agreed upon or just the one? A one? What is the definition of such?

Be prepared to be asked a lot of these questions once you embark on Jason Side's journey. Jason Side Identity by Ibrahim Shabazz is the perfect novel for anyone who's been a fan of Percy Jackson's adventures, as well as for fantasy, mythology and philosophy lovers in general. The first of a series, this book delivers us an enthralling worldbuilding packed with a super original set of Gods, Demigods, Spirits and Monsters all seasoned with suspance, introspection, and a lot of action integrated into a world that is closer to ours, with a school setting through which the white-haired, orange-eyed main character explores his own identity and purpose, and from where he embarks on a thrilling adventure. The worldbuilding is a strong point of the novel, since it is well described throughout the story, and all the explanations are organically distributed across the significant events.

You will be questioned and will be questioning a lot through this story. I like that every chapter’s title is a question: it stimulates the reader’s mind to think about an answer, and imagine the content of the chapter before actually reading it.

As I dove into the narration, I immediately noticed the very detailed and long descriptions that make this volume a pretty thick one: if on one side they contribute to making the reading a deeply immersive one, on the other hand they tend to slow the pace of the story a bit too much at some point.

The contrast between action and thought is striking. Through its refined vocabulary, suggestive questions and streams of consciousness, we get a 360-degree perspective on Jason's thoughts and inner self. Despite that, it was not so easy to empathise with the main character in every situation, although we follow his internal dialogue throughout the whole book: in some cases, his thoughts get mixed up with their actual narration, and it’s somewhat confusing. We hear more of Jason’s inner voice, than him actually talking. He’s a very reflective narrator who guides us through the course of events by offering us his most intimate perspective.

As far as the other characters are concerned, I love Asher: he’s the best sidekick to the main character, the book really needed a personality who's super lively and dynamic like him, especially as a contrast to the more thoughtful and quiet Jason. His sense of humour never failed to make me laugh.

“‘Winter’s coming? Asher asked, entering the room. “Are we Starks? Loved the reference.
And again: “‘You know nothing, Jon Snow.’ Asher, I’m guessing, quoted, but it was done in an English accent. Hilarious.

Azmach and Lamonte were also well characterised in my opinion, as well as the figure of ms. Grey.

The major problem that I faced during this reading is the evident lack of professional editing, which is a shame, since I think this story is a really good product, and with a lot of potential. The style is captivating, in terms of descriptions, vocabulary, and also figures of speech for example, similes, metaphors and alliteration; onomatopoeia is very present, too, almost as frequently as in comics, verbally written between one paragraph and another, which also contributes to making the reading so immersive, yet it still would have benefitted from editing. I detected many naiveties: some typos here and there, one repetition too many, and general style refinement is missing, or lacks some precision, especially in dialogues, which on many occasions I found more similar to a messaging/texting style and a bit lacking of writing proficiency. With a careful adjustment of these stylistic problems, this book has all that it takes to be fully engaging and overall a success.

Flash thought on the cover: I found it a bit too dark for my liking, yet very significant: in my personal view, the pitch black background, with Jason Side at the center, seems to represent the voice in his mind, the true main character of this book.

The last few chapters are packed with action and twists, hence they are very entertaining. The rhythm is a lot more fluid, since I struggled a lot less to stay focused and I also noticed a better writing style here.
Crucial information is revealed towards the ending about ongoing wars, relationships among Gods, secrets finally coming to surface causing the reader’s attention to dramatically increase.
By the final chapters, everything wraps up well, every dot is connected, and the story leaves room for a sequel that I’m definitely anticipating. As many questions are answered by the end of the book, other ones are raised.

What is identity? How does one define identity? Is it the interactions one has with people, or life itself? Is it simply a definition that is given by others, their perceptions of the individual?

I definitely recommend this reading and I would like to compliment Shabazz again for the great imagination and creativity that have been poured in this novel, with my best wishes for a long and thriving career as a writer, room for improvement, and with the hope to read more from the author soon.

Ibrahim Shabazz blends philosophy and adventure in his entertaining fantasy book, Jason Side Identity. The protagonist, Jason, is a young boy raised in foster care. His life takes a total turn when a mysterious acquaintance appears at his school, followed by monsters and demigods. On understanding that he is a demigod, Jason starts his quest to find out his roots. Besides, he also needs to fight against the monsters to keep his world safe.

Jason Side Identity is a story of self-discovery and acceptance. The author does a marvelous job of answering philosophical questions while keeping the plot an entertaining adventure. The work clearly shows Shabazz's rigorous and extensive research behind the creation of a magical world that deals with universal human emotions. It is a thought provoking read that pushes readers to think deeply. I loved how Shabaz deals with the identity crisis so sensitively that it makes us question things and analyze our purpose. The chapters are very organized and well-structured. Each chapter begins with a title that imposes a philosophical question that pushes readers to walk on the path of self-realization. The story is written from the first-person perspective of Jason, so we get the entire picture of his mind. Thus, readers roam around the fictional world of Jason in the shoes of creativity Shabazz has provided us.

The book deals with a wide range of characters. The characters are well developed. I loved how the side characters are also dealt with care. They actually contribute to the plot and make the story more enjoyable. The author slowly but efficiently builds the world. He takes ample amount of time to create a unique world where his creativity would run free to provide a wonderful experience to readers. His characters and plot may be fictional, but they actually represent real-world issues. His God, demigods, and monstars are actually symbolic representations of people with varied sets of minds. Wow! This book is absolutely captivating! I'm really drawn to the parallels between the Alkeeb Gods and the Greek Gods. It's fascinating how they're portrayed as ancient gods. The story feels like a fantastic blend of Percy Jackson, Heroes Of Olympus, Greek and Roman Mythology, and Anime all rolled into one thrilling adventure.

Let me tell you about the characters I absolutely adore:

I'm really taken with how Jason Side thinks. He dives deep into his thoughts without always expressing them outwardly. There's a quiet intensity to him that I find captivating.

The deliberate pacing of the story, with its focus on Jason's character, is something I appreciate. It felt like I was gradually getting to know Jason on a deeper level. He's a complex individual who tends to analyze and observe things closely. He kind of reminds me of a quieter version of Dr. Stone.

Seeing Jason Side grow and change throughout the story has been so fulfilling. It's remarkable how he remains selfless and willing to sacrifice, despite not experiencing much love or connection from his parents.

Asher's character is just amazing - he's cheerful, friendly, funny, and always optimistic. What I admire most is how he handles his emotions so well.

And then there's Azmach, with his heroic deeds. His natural leadership shines through, especially in how he protects Asher and Jason, even being willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

Oh, and when it comes to relationships, I can't help but root for Jason and Ivania, and Luna and Asher. Despite their limited interactions, I still find their connection adorable.

And let me tell you about the plot twist, OMG! Just when you think you have it all figured out, there's a surprising plot twist that leaves you in awe. I got goosebumps when Jason's father was revealed it was such a shocking moment that I never saw coming!

I couldn't help but smile when I saw mentions of One Piece and Luffy in the book. And to top it off, Jon Snow was also mentioned it was such a fun surprise!

If you're in the mood to unwind and dive into a good book, this could be just what you need. Especially if you're into Greek Mythology, Percy Jackson, Middle-Grade Fiction, Fantasy, you're going to love this!

"Ibrahim Shabazz's 'Jason Side Identity' launches readers into an action-packed, suspenseful, and thought-provoking saga that introduces us to the enigmatic world of Jason Side, a character grappling with questions of identity, purpose, and the weight of newfound responsibilities.

As the narrative unfolds, Jason discovers the startling truth about himself—he is a Demigod. This revelation catapults him into a perilous journey across the country, accompanied by two fellow Demigods, all while being pursued by relentless Monsters. Shabazz expertly weaves a tale that is not only fraught with danger but also entangled in the cosmic conflict among the Gods themselves.

The complexities of Jason's existence are mirrored in the chaos of divine warfare, adding layers of intrigue and suspense to the narrative. The author skillfully captures the essence of a protagonist facing overwhelming challenges, both internal and external, and the burden of accountability in a world that defies conventional understanding.

Madness. Monsters. Demigod. God.

A fantasy in midst of reality.

Jason Side Identity is an epic journey of a boy on a quest to find his identity as a demigod and the consequences that come with it.

The first thing that caught my eyes was the writing style. It is unique, intriguing yet mysterious. Ibrahim has sketched a vivid description of scenes that immerse you completely. You could see this as a film playing right in front of your eyes.

Most fantasy books I've read feature a female protagonist, so reading about a male protagonist was a new experience. However, Jason is a complex, multilayered yet highly likable character whom you can't help but root for.

The world is swiftly and easily built without complications. The initial 80 pages have a slightly slower pace compared to the rest of the story, but it is necessary for the buildup. This book comprises on almost 500 pages with long chapters. However, with rapid action scenes and layers of mystery to unravel, the pages flew by.

The in-depth mythological storyline, filled with emotions and philosophical aspects, adds more charm to the story. Asher, the side character, provides the much-needed comedic relief amidst wars and feuds. (I'm hoping, against all odds, that Asher will survive till the end of the series as he's too adorable to die!)

And the climax hits the mark perfectly! The ending left me anticipating so much more! I'm so powered up for next book in series!

So, what sets this apart from other coming-of-age fantasy novels? I believe the writing style, coupled with the philosophical aspects attached to each chapter and a cast of memorable characters, would be its standout qualities.

Highly recommended!

"What is identity? How does one define identity? Is it the interactions one has with people, or life itself? Is it simply a definition that is given by others, their perceptions of the individual? Is it their characteristics, the mentality which forms the basis of a mindset? Is it a weight in hands if need be? Is it the title or type of being they are present?"
.
A fantasy novel filled with adventure, demigods and monsters. Jason Side grew up in foster care where he did not feel a sense of belonging. Even after joining high school he was an outcast with white hair and orange eyes. Besides he barely talked in school which made other students curious about him.
At one point in the book it is described how he did not understand the reason why people talked like was it a requirement or something and his strangeness made me curious about him as a character aswell but that is not all there is to him.
He is also a demigod which he comes to know later on in the story and then we are introduced to this new fictional world where the akleeb gobs and monsters exist. While Jason gets to know that he is a demigod he still initially does not know who his parent is. From there begins the journey of him trying to figure out who his parent is. This book also deals with philosophical questions of identity and essence. Every chapter has a really interesting title to it and the passages about his philosophical questions were thought provoking.
Since I read it as an ebook and the book is also lengthy I had to skim read it but besides that I think it is well written. While I am not a fan of mythology but I do like fantasy so i think it is an action packed read especially for those who like fantasy books.

What is one’s identity in this world? What is one’s role that needs to be accepted and taken into account, no matter what the circumstances?

‘Jason Side Identity is the story of the protagonist's search for his identity in a world he felt never a part of and then in another world whose identity and existence in itself were not only questionable but also impossible on many levels.

Reading Jason’s story felt like taking a journey of my own. Traversing through the nooks and corners of both worlds, Jason's quest to find who he was never took a back seat, which I felt is something everyone will relate to. Jason’s persistence in taking responsibility and his sense of accountability are things that really touched my heart. The thing that really captured my attention is the way the author has tried to seamlessly transition the setup from an ordinary scenario to a fictional world, maintaining dimensional continuity.

The writing style of the author is very expressive and detailed, which at times felt a bit too elaborated for some instances but felt necessary for others. This book is going to require a lot of patience and time as it is a 500+ page account; however, once you get into the flow, it will be a smoother ride.

This story is also a continuous cycle of time and situation jumps, which may feel a bit daunting during the first half of the book, but the second half is much easier to comprehend.

The language is simple enough for beginners, and I feel like this can be a substantial read to pick up for any reader.

Review 3.5 Stars!

This is a very unique story that will provoke the minds of young readers, specially Percy Jackson fans. We follow the story of Jason Side, a young man who is seen as an outcast in his community. He goes through a journey of self-discovery as he at first observes the world as an outsider, hardly engaging with society as he follows his daily routine.

Jason lives a hard life, with foster parents that basically have him working as a servant as well as constant bullying from his school peers due to his unique appearance. The first part of the book has a slow pacing and I think this part could have been shorter. The author often describers in great detail Jason's inner thoughts as he observes his surroundings. For example the lengthy description of the classroom seating arrangement. The reader gets a feeling while reading that there is something special about Jason that will soon be revealed. This element of the story was intriguing and kept me curious to see what exactly was happening to Jason as he experiences some mysterious encounters with people who seem to know about something big that is going to happen. I started the book without reading the synopsis so that I had the complete element of surprise when things unfolded.

The story felt special, like there was meaning between the lines of each paragraph. I also found the chapter headings quite original and intriguing. Young adults who enjoy mythology, gods and the clash of fantasy with reality will enjoy this tale of self discovery.

Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy for review

Alright, folks, gather 'round because I've got to spill the tea on "Jason Side Identity" by Ibrahim Shabazz. Let me tell you, this book is like a rollercoaster ride you never want to end! 🎢 From the moment I cracked it open, I was sucked into the whirlwind world of Jason Side, and let me just say, it's one heck of a ride.

Shabazz doesn't waste any time diving into the action, and I was living for every heart-pounding moment. Monsters? Check. Divine battles? Double check. But it's not just the action that kept me hooked—it's the characters, too. The characters are so real, so relatable, that you can't help but root for them every step of the way.

And can we talk about those plot twists? I swear, just when I thought I had things figured out, Shabazz would hit me with another curveball that left my jaw on the floor. It's like a game of chess, but with Demigods and monsters instead of knights and rooks.

But what really blew my mind were the deeper themes lurking beneath the surface. I'm talking about identity, accountability, all that good stuff. Watching Jason grapple with these big questions made me stop and think about my own place in the world, which is pretty darn impressive for a YA novel.

So, if you're in the mood for a wild adventure that'll keep you guessing until the very end, "Jason Side Identity" is the book for you. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down! 📚💥

Jason Side Identity by Ibrahim | ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐ 4/5 stars

Jason Side Identity is the perfect read for the Percy Jackson fans and those who are fond of Greek Mythology.

This novel took me back to my middle school era, and felt like re-encountering a good old friend. Jason Side Identity is a thought-provoking, nostalgic read that made me pleasantly surprised.

I love how the author takes a new perspective and spin on Greek myths and storyline. It was quite refreshing.

The story follows Jason as his world is turned upside down and thrusted into the world of gods and monsters. This chain of events leads to questions of identity, perception, and acceptance. Along the way, we are introduced to an amazing cast of side characters. You can’t help but want to protect them at all costs. Asher in particular takes the award for most funniest friend of the group. He’s the funny best friend that everyone needs, and you just never know what he’s going to come up with next. One of my personal favorites was the One Piece reference!

Overall, I really enjoyed this novel, and highly recommend this to those looking for the next action packed adventure in the world of demigods!

In "Jason Side Identity," the protagonist searches for his identity in two worlds: one where he feels never quite at home and another where his existence and identity are both ambiguous and, on many senses, implausible.

The author has a highly emotive and thorough writing style that, while at times feeling a little over the top in certain places, and is vital in others. It will take a lot of time and patience to get into the flow of this book, but after that, things will move more smoothly. Additionally, this novel is told through a continuous cycle of time and scenario hops. While the first half of the book may seem a little intimidating, the second half is much simpler to understand. I think this might be a worthwhile read for any reader because the language is understandable even for novices.

A really fascinating story with loads of crazy adventures skillfully mixed with a wealth of human emotions makes up the wonderful work Jason Side Identity. Ibrahim has performed a fantastic job creating a story that is both engrossing and full of inventiveness. Jason is the main character of the story, which is told from his first-person point of view. Jason does not anticipate enjoying himself at school. But things rapidly get worse as monsters and demigods show up at his school along with an enigmatic acquaintance. A thought-provoking philosophical question is posed at the beginning of each chapter, which genuinely helps the reader on the path to self-realization. Ibrahim has created a lovely fictitious universe that the reader can enjoy by using their imagination, and his inventive writing style makes for a really engaging read. The secondary characters' introduction has not only brought the main character some much-needed relaxation, but it has also enhanced the enjoyment of the novel. The characters are really well-developed. All the fantasy lovers are going to enjoy it.

Ibrahim Shabazz explores the mosaic of self-discovery in Jason Side Identity. Once he steps foot in a new world of demigods, monsters, and self-discovery, Jason, a young guy going to high school and leading a typical existence, finds the answers to some of his most profound and personal concerns. Through Jason, Ms. Grey, and Asher's lives, the novel takes readers on an exciting journey to reveal the depth of mythological characters. Throughout the entire novel, Shabazz's captivating writing style and superb character development are evident. Jason's persona is profound and powerful, leaving you feeling a little bit relativistic whenever his thoughts are revealed. You'll be able to see him right now with those orange eyes, white hair, and an intriguing demeanour because the book does such a great job capturing his personality. When the idea of demigods and monsters is revealed, the novel takes an exciting turn. You are then instantly thrust into the exciting realm of drama, fantasy, and suspense. I think this book is a must read for all mythology fans.

Ibrahim Shabazz's fantasy book "Jason Side Identity" is chock-full of monsters, demigods, and adventure. Jason was raised in foster care, lacking a sense of identity. He was an outsider with orange eyes and white hair even when he started high school. In addition, he didn't say much in class, which intrigued the other pupils. His peculiarity piqued my interest in him as a character, but that is not all there is to him. We are then exposed to this new imaginary world where the akleeb gobs and monsters exist, and he subsequently learns that he is also a demigod. Jason initially doesn't know who his parents are, even after learning that he is a demigod. He then sets out on a quest to discover his parent's identity. Philosophical issues about essence and identity are also covered in this book. Each chapter features an intriguing title, and the sections concerning his philosophical inquiries provoked contemplation. Although I have little interest in mythology, I do enjoy fantasy literature, thus I believe this is an exciting read for readers who enjoy that genre.

Thanks to the author for offering me the chance to read this book. All thoughts are my own.

Jason Side Identity is an action packed book that dives us into the world of Gods, Demigods and Monsters. We follow Jason and his journey through life while he discovers he is not really a simple mortal and the myths he learned about at school they’re actually real. I loved seeing Jason discover his true self and becoming more open towards people. At first he doesn’t talk to anyone, but he opens up and makes friends, he grows so much from the beginning of the book until the end and it’s obvious from his thoughts.

The book is written from Jason’s perspective and we are inside his mind, we are aware of everything that he is thinking. I love how the author included a lot of deep thoughts and questions about life that Jason was asking himself.

I would say that if you enjoyed books like Percy Jackson, you will definitely enjoy this book as well since it has a lot of similar vibes, but it’s more suitable for adults rather than middle grade or YA.

All in all, this was a very enjoyable book, especially the second half which was full of action and it captivated me.
