So much mild angst and heavy petting. Still, it's all rather cute and a bit smarter than the average bear.

Back to rereading this comic but in paper form! Automatically gets more stars for me wanting to reread it.

I think it is a fun book. It sometimes seems very dark colours compared to what I'm expecting. So maybe something went wrong in the process of turning it into a book? Still the same fun story of the QC universe!

The fun has really begun in this series!

Clearly written by a man, but so it goes. ;o) I'm very much enjoying this print-version-of-web-comic at this point. Jeph has found his groove.

My Great Binge continues with the third collection of the slice-of-life webcomic. So Marten and Dora have become a couple, but it's interesting to see just how early that Dora's insecurity over the situation raised its head. I had forgotten about that, from when I was reading it online. It's also interesting to see how early the seeds of Faye's hard-drinking and her friends' worrying about it were sown. That's something that will get reaped 2000 or so strip down the line. Blimey, that's some forward planning, going on there!

The enlargement of the cast continues with Penelope (or is that Pizza Girl?) joining the Coffee of Doom crew as well as Tai and Angus making their débuts. QC has turned from a will they/won't they romance into, effectively, a humorous soap opera, albeit a soap opera with murderous scooters, mischievous PCs and semi-feral roombas. It's a lot of fun to read, and so much quicker on paper than on-screen (those waits between page loads cumulatively add up).

QC is one of my favorite web comics, a frothy mixture of gag strips and ongoing "Friends"-like drama. The flaws (mostly self-admitted) of all the characters (a pack that keeps growing like Topsy) keep the dialog witty and the story arcs lurching in unexpected directions. Jacques has been, over time, doing more story and fewer one-offs, and that process continues in this volume, covering comics 600-899 (it's on 2325 as of this writing, so there's plenty of catching up to do).

It's good stuff, and since I'm apt to lose track of web comics at various points, it's nice that Jacques is collecting them in old-fashioned paper format, even if the text in the word balloons sometimes gets reduced to reading-glasses-required scale.

Another solid installment, and Hannelore's character is much better established in this book.

Looking at strip #615, there's an interesting comment that he wouldn't make the same joke nowadays. I can believe that in light of recent events (particularly strip #2323).

watching his artwork evolve continues to fascinate. this collection covers martin getting a job at the college library, so the "she blinded me with library science" t-shirt appears as well as the joke about a gaggle of drunken librarians. love it.

This is actually the 4th time I'm rereading this (I usually do it on the web version), got the books a few days ago. The print is a bit dark, but there's some interesting commentary, and the story is still one of the best I've read.
(ok, now maybe fifth time)

Sort of like an R-rated version of Archie. I'm liking this series quite a lot, and Jacques' authorial comments on each strip are always appreciated. Some of the storylines get a little weird, but the entertaining characters more than make up for it.

One of my favorite webcomics. I just wish the collections would come out sooner, so they would get closer to where the comic is today. Oh well.

A web comic about twenty-something hipsters, but amazingly, it's not insufferable. Funny, with likable characters and interesting stories that move along. I really enjoy this series.

Great characters, funny stories with a lot of heart, and Jeph Jacques's artwork keeps improving. What's not to like?
