This book offers a comprehensive exploration of RCTs, including their design, analysis, and interpretation. I particularly enjoyed the focus on critical appraisal tools during the assessment phase and found this useful in framing my understanding.

Unsurprisingly much of the book was focused around health / clinical trials but the way Jadad had written it, it made it really straightforward to assess in other settings (by way of nudges in consumer behaviour). The author effectively highlights the importance of the evaluation stage in RCTs, providing detailed insights into how to critically assess trials. Its practical approach makes it especially valuable for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of RCT methodology and rigour in trial assessments.
