She adores music and motion. He’s grounded in science and stability. When red-hot memories strike a new chord, will two conflicted hearts ring true?

Taylor Fox loves being a nomad. A self-proclaimed vagabond, the impulsive free-spirit keeps whispers of childhood guilt and grief quiet by hitting up every vibrant musical festival she can find. But when her trusty VW bus strands her in a blizzard outside her hometown, she turns the delay into a delightful detour with help from the kisses from a broad-shouldered hero, never expecting to see him again.

Atticus Stone cherishes his deep roots. So when the wayward daughter of the family he works for shows up the summer after their one night hookup, he tries to hide the flashbacks of their intimate embraces. Though when she’s only willing to offer a fling, the mellow botanist relents and gives in to their blossoming chemistry.

Convinced there’s no happiness like the open road, Taylor resists confronting the old pain that’s kept her away for so long. And Atticus worries about the fate of his heart if he lets the gorgeous and goofy woman any further past his walls.

Can they sidestep endless pitfalls and follow the path to happily ever after?

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'm a big fan of Mary Frame's books and this series. Unlike her other series, the Fox series is about a family that has suffered loss and the members of which haven't always dealt with those losses in healthy ways--or dealt with them at all. Taylor is one of those who has done a particularly poor job of dealing with the family tragedy, suffering guilt over the loss of the family's youngest daughter, Aria, and conducting a decade-long feud with who was her closest sister because Mindy blamed her for their sister's death as well. In the previous book in the series, Mindy accepted her fault in their estrangement and admitted to Taylor that she had been wrong to blame her. But the damage had been done and Taylor refused to forgive Mindy and reacted by travelling around the US attending music festivals in order to avoid her family if there was any chance that Mindy might be around.

This book, then, focuses on Taylor and how she finally confronts her guilt over Aria's death and her reasons for being unable to forgive Mindy. It also focuses on reasons for being "the one who goes away" and her search for their mother, who had abandoned the family when Taylor was 2 years old, to find out why--and if she was like her. And the romance of the book is between Taylor and Atticus, a close friend from high school whose parents had died when he was young and who had similar issues with guilt over their deaths and an emotional distance from the aunt and uncle and cousins who had taken him in after their deaths and with whom he still lived.

The series as a whole isn't as lighthearted as Frame's other series, although it does have scenes of hilarity because the characters and their interactions contain a lot of snark and humour. I did have the most issues with this volume of the series so far because I had problems with Taylor as a character and her behaviour toward Mindy in particular. While this story did clarify the issues and the reasons for Taylor's reactions and definitely made me more sympathetic for her, although she still is my least favourite of the Fox siblings..

Despite Frame's excellent writing and some really lovely characters, my basic dislike of Taylor really affected my enjoyment of the book. That's totally on me and shouldn't be the reason anyone decides not to read it--it would be their loss if they did. The book was still satisfying and I particularly loved Atticus and Jake and enjoyed reading updates on the lives of the characters I had liked so much in the previous books of the series. And I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

I received an ARC of Some Like It Fox. Another hit for Mary Frame! I love all the characters in the Fox series and this one does not disappoint! This one is about Taylor Fox and how she's usually out on the road, but this time her adventures are at home among her Fox siblings... and of course a sexy hot romance!

I received a digital ARC of this book. This is book #4 in the Fox Family series and even though it could technically be read as a stand alone, all the characters, except one are in the previous 3 books. Taylor is in the middle of the 6 Fox siblings, and she’s the one that never stays in one place. She’s on her way home for Christmas when her van runs out of gas 10 miles from home. Oh, and there’s currently a snowstorm. Her family won’t be looking for her because she didn’t think she’d be coming until the next day. She’s in the middle of nowhere but knows there are farmhouses along the road, and is trying to decide between possibly freezing to death or walking and trying to find one of the farmhouses when she sees a light not too far away. At first she thinks it might be a figment of her imagination but then she sees it again. She layers on a bunch of clothes and her warmest boots and goes for it. As she gets to the house she realizes it’s the Peterson’s place. She pounds on the door but no one answers. She goes to peek in the window and she sees a fire. The door opens and a very tall man opens the door holding a candle. She starts to wonder if this is a mistake when he pulls her inside and explains that the electricity is out. She asks if this is still the Peterson’s house and he explains that they are gone for Christmas and he’s their nephew, Atticus. Memories come back to Taylor from high school. But he wasn’t that hot back then. As the night goes on, Taylor becomes attracted to Atticus and they make out. She wakes up the next morning in his arms but sneaks out before he wakes up. She leaves a note but not her number. As she’s driving to her family’s house she gets a call from her PI about a lead out west. She decides to follow it. She texts her family she won’t be home for Christmas after all. In a strange turn of events her sister and her boyfriend run into Atticus at the grocery store later that day and learn that he’s by himself for Christmas so they invite him over for dinner. That’s why four months later when she’s at an event that is only supposed to be family and friends, he’s there standing next to her sister. Turns out Atticus now works at the Camp that her family runs on their property. Taylor feels pulled to him again. But once again she leaves because that’s what she does. I devoured this book in one day. I didn’t want to stop reading it. It will take you on a roller coaster of a story between Taylor and Atticus who like each other and are pulled to each other, but thinks the other person isn’t. Atticus can’t ask Taylor to stay because he doesn’t think he’s enough for her. I have enjoyed every book in this series and I’m already looking forward to book 5 coming out next year.

Ok so I’m going to try to write this without giving anything away or at least as little as possible. This book is so great you’ve got to read it. However, if you haven’t already, I really recommend reading them in order as this is book 4. Taylor is the “flighty sister, the traveler, the antsy wanderer. She’s been in and out of the other books but in this book we get her full story. I have to admit, I really didn’t like Taylor when I started this book. Her family has had so many issues and there she is just living her life like some kind of vagabond with no responsibilities traveling from music festival to music festival. I struggled with her inability to be stable and there for her sisters even though she and Mindy are fighting and for Jake. Anyway, one Christmas she’s on her way home in a snowstorm when her VW bus breaks down, practically on Atticus doorstep. My goodness! I’ll have one Atticus to go please! He’s so big and sexy and sweet. That hunky guy from back in high school that every girl had her eye on but he was shy and mysterious? But I digress. So like I was saying they knew each other in high school, Taylor remembers him being quiet but thoughtful and kind to her in a hard time in her life. He’s so great as a character in this book, perfect really for the flighty Taylor. Too good to her if you ask me at the beginning. I seriously wanted to shake her. But as I read, I got a fuller understanding of what drove her restlessness. A deeper sense of why she couldn’t stay in one place and her secret quest was truly a surprise. This book contains all the things you’ve come to expect from Mary Frame’s books. They’re full of heart, funny circumstances, family and triumphs along with hardships that families experience. The characters are deep and so realistic it really gets you invested in their stories and their HEA. I will say, she really brought me around to loving Taylor by the end and rooting for her to make the right choice. But the ending.(sigh)…it was really just the best.

4 1/2 stars

Taylor Fox, forced to return home when her car needs serious repair work, finds herself facing her past and trying to figure out her future. Will it include the ruggedly handsome giant, Atticus Stone? She’s known him since high school, and there’s always been a hint of something there.

Taylor and Atticus are two damaged people. They find comfort in each other’s understanding and empathy. Sparks fly between them, but can Taylor stay in one place long enough for them to discover what’s really there?

I enjoyed this book, but it isn’t my favorite in the series. I think it’s because I have nothing in common with Taylor. I was finally getting to like her toward the end of the book when she began to seem more real to me. I was happy when she and Mindy finally figured things out and found common ground. It’s always nice to see family members working out long-standing issues and become friends again.

This is a book for adults, and not only because of the heavy dose of sex involved. It also deals with the guilt that family feels after a loved one dies. One of the best things in this book is that Taylor and Atticus help each other deal with the blame each one feels for what happened to those they loved. Neither has faced up to it, but together, they can.

I look forward to the next book in this series, Jake’s story. Some Like It Fox does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, setting things up for that next book, but all the important things concerning Taylor and Atticus are tied-up by then. This may not have been my favorite in the series, but it’s still a fun read.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

This is the fourth book in the Fox Family series and this time we meet up with the middle child, Taylor. Taylor Fox is the sibling who hasn't quite figured out where to land or if she even wants to land.

On her way home for Christmas, her van runs out of gas, in a snowstorm, just 10 miles from home. She's a day early so no one knows to look for her. She makes it to the Peterson's farmhouse where the Peterson's nephew, Atticus is there and the power is out.

Atticus has changed since Taylor knew him in school. He's far more attractive and she's finding him hard to resist. The next morning she leaves and as she’s driving away, she gets a call from her PI about a lead out west. She decides to follow it. She texts her family she won’t be home after all.

When she returns four months later, Atticus works for the family business. The attraction is clearly still evident. Will her need to run away win again or will she stay and give things a chance? You'll have to read the book to find out.

Surrounded by the Fox family and caught up in the family business makes for happy times, many laughs, and warm feelings. There is also some drama and emotion that runs deep for the Foxes.

This is a very well written story about someone who is afraid to stay because it's easier to run from fear than to face it and and risk your heart and a man willing to give up love because he doesn't want to hold her back if she wants to go. I can relate to this story and that makes it nearer to my heart than the previous three. There is no cheating, no obvious OM/OW drama, and a heartwarming HEA. I am ready to read the next book in this series; I really have become invested in this family. This may become a book I re-read again and again. I definitely recommend this story and I am giving it four stars.

Some Like It Fox begins with a bang and doesn't let up. (And the homage to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was perfection!) We finally get to see the world through Taylor's eyes. The vagabond. The wanderer. The woman who'd always be there for her family, just maybe not in the flesh.

Her vehicle breaks down in a snowstorm, and she finds refuge in a neighbor's house with Atticus, the neighbor's nephew and friend from high school.

"One more. I want to taste."

Atticus is a cinnamon roll through and through. He's shy, kind, caring, and a giver of multiple...everything. He and Taylor share a night together where she passes out from exhaustion then promptly leaves. It's kind of her M.O.

Fate has plans for these two, though. They keep running into each other and eventually stop trying to fight their attraction.

On top of their relationship, there is a HUGE reveal for the entire family. Taylor has been trying to find their runaway mom, and her motive for doing so will rip your heart out. I'm so glad Atticus was there for her through the whole thing!

"Look at them. They're like carbon copy Paul Bunyan."

Jake plays a big role in Some Like It Fox as well. That poor man, always walking in on his sisters in compromising positions! His sense of humor kills me, and I'm excited we get to read his story next.

Small town romance, insane raccoons, and a relationship where the man is in touch with his feelings are just some of the things to look forward to when you read this book. Happy reading!

Thank you, Mary Frame, for the opportunity to read this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A really great read about coming home, facing your fears, mending old hurts, and finally feeling free, with a healthy dose of can’t keep their hands to themselves passion and love.
Taylor Fox is finally home with her broke down van, an empty bank account, and a whole lot of emotions. Since she’s stuck here for a month or two until her van gets fixed she’s definitely considering taking Atticus, her family’s newest hire, for a spin. It doesn’t take long before she knows she’s falling for him but, she also knows it’ll never work, she’s too much like the mom who abandoned her and her siblings. A free spirit, a person that leaves, unreliable, restless. But she’s not sure that’s who she wants to be and as she gets more wrapped up in Atticus she realizes she might be able to face some truths about herself, mend things with one of her siblings, and finally feel free. If she’s willing to take the risk and open up.
I love the whole Fox family series and Taylor’s story is no exception, it’s a fantastic addition. I love reading about character growth and Taylor is a character that grows exponentially throughout the book as she finally slows down and takes some time to examine why she reacts the way she does, what she’s running from, and if that’s who she wants to be. All the supporting characters are great, love a big family that’s just always there, and Atticus is a great addition both as Taylors love interest and as a member of the larger family. Really just a feel good read where finding love helps break down walls, mend huge family rifts, and clears up questions about the past.

I enjoyed this book. This addition to the Fox family’s stories focuses on Taylor, the family’s wandering soul. “Safe sounds great to most people. Security. Shelter. A soft place to land. For me, standing still is terrifying. She travels frequently, mostly trying to outrun herself and her grief. “Grief isn’t something you leave behind, it’s something you learn to live with.’ Taylor ends up finding shelter from a snowstorm with Atticus, a former schoolmate, and things get “cozy, but she doesn’t expect to find him working at her family’s camp when she returns later in the year. Their attraction is undeniable, but a fling and feelings don’t mix well when one party plans to hit the road again. The characters were engaging and it was great to see more of the Fox family and their relationships with each other and their partners. The romance was really lovely as Taylor and Atticus both faced demons from their pasts, and Taylor especially had to really come to terms with why she was always running, and what she truly wanted. This story involves elements of parental death, sibling death, parental abandonment, and alcohol abuse. As the fourth book in a series about one family there is significant crossover from the previous books. The background is explained enough that this can be read as a standalone, but I would really recommend reading the entire series in order for the best reader experience. This is a detailed open door romance with strong innuendo and strong harsh language throughout.

Lots of angst and steam🤔

3.5🌟²õ³Ù²¹°ù²õ

This story definitely did not leave me indifferent but I preferred the earlier three romances in the series.

Some Like It Fox featured a lot of steam and the main female character has myriad issues, mainly because, in my opinion, she has yet to grow up and accept that her attitude and actions have major consequences for others. She's a "gypsy spirit" that troubled me.

I like the series and the way Mary Frame has created a family that sticks together and (mostly) supports each other, but Taylor Fox was not a character that I found easy to identify with or like. Taylor's been an elusive character from the beginning of the series. She holds grudges way too long, uses her love of music festivals as an excuse for not working on her personal relationships, and I don't think she treated Atticus, her love interest, well.

Atticus and Taylor's younger brother Jake were my favorites for quite different reasons. Jake is comic relief while Atticus is so earnest and unselfish, he's just dreamy and Taylor lucked out.

I could have done with more romance and less jumping in the sheets. The heated scenes were more lengthy than I prefer and I wanted more acknowledgment of Taylor's feelings toward Atticus, especially when he's opening up to her. In this instance I wanted more words, less action.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I seriously cannot even express how much I have enjoyed this whole series!! The Fox family is filled with so many different characters that make the family so fun and engaging. This story follows Taylor, the one who runs. We saw some of her tied into Finley’s story but now she gets her own chance at letting go of the past and seeing a better future. Taylor and Atticus met and knew each other since high school but were never really friends. They both have the feelings of being an outsider in their own families and the understanding that comes with the loss of parents. I think the two of them are also looking for their true life’s purpose. They might think they’re happy but could something more be out there for them? All of these things give Taylor and Atticus undeniable and insanely hot chemistry.
I could not put this book down because I needed to know how it would turn out! The Fox family gets closure in some areas and more questions in others, but they still love each other unconditionally. Hopefully Taylor and Atticus can find that happiness too! The only downside is that Taylor and Atticus are apart for a lot of this book and also the timeline skips big gaps of time. Everything seemed abbreviated. However, I could feel their chemistry so palpably that it wasn’t a distraction. Definitely a great series that you need to read! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Some Like It Fox is the fourth book of Mary Frame’s Fox Family series. It reads as a standalone, so you don’t have to read the other books. This book follows Taylor, the drifter of the fox family. She is held up in her family’s hometown of Whitby due to her VW bus being broken-down. Trying to past her time there, spends it with her family and working at the bar, by helping the owner manage it.

While in Whitby, she runs into a very familiar and attractive face, Atticus Stone. Not wanting to start romantic relationship, because of her short stay, decides to remain friends. As Taylor and Atticus get to know each other better, their relationship inevitably grows. The need for each other is stronger and Taylor begins to question her mindset of having to leave Whitby.

From the four books, I have to say that this one was my favorite. I liked Taylor and Atticus chemistry and the way they bonded with each other. They came closer because they understood where each other were coming from. They both experience tragedy at a young age and their grief took them in almost similar directions, enough for them to understand each other. There were parts when they were together that made me emotional, and I can’t complain, because it just shows how invested I was in the story.

Also, there is spice in this book and gets pretty hot!

Mary Frame's Some Like it Fox is the fourth book in the Fox siblings series. This story follows Taylor Fox as she reconciles with the grief of losing her younger sister and the feud she has had with her older one for years. While dealing with all that, she embarks on a fling with Atticus Stone, a man she shared one amazing night with and who now works for her family.

This book delves into some heavy topics such as grief, addiction, parental abandonment and sees both main characters trying to figure out themselves and their relationship all while dealing with individual loss. The writing was as emotional and witty as the rest of Frame's novels and I enjoyed it very much. Atticus was the very definition of the strong, silent type, and I loved every minute of reading from his perspective. Taylor was more difficult to relate to in some ways, and her emotional immaturity was a bit much for me at times, but ultimately her better qualities outweighed those cons for me.

Once again the side characters, particularly Jake Fox add to the richness of the story, and I cannot wait to read his story when it finally comes out. This book is yet another fantastic read from Mary Frame and I highly recommend this book to anyone, but especially readers of romance and fiction.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. We met Taylor in previous books as a vagabond who travels the country for music festivals. She is keeping a secret from her siblings...she hired a PI to find their mother. Taylor is unsure if anything will come of it but it's worth a shot. She is going home for Xmas...not looking forward to seeing her sister Mindy who blamed Taylor for Aria's death. Mindy has tried to get Taylor tp forgive her but happening. However her vehicle breaks down in thr snow and she walks to thr neighbors and lowandbehold the skinny dude from high school Atticus has grown up fine. A lapse on judgement had her receiving a frwew orgasms then falls asleep. Ashamed of herself she sneaks out and off she goes to follow a lead. Fast forward a few months and Atticus is working at Camp Aria for Finley and Archer. He hasn't stopped thinking about Taylor. Taylor's van is dead and she'll have to stay around to make money to fix it. Veronica's is another home for her and when she is offered a short term manager position while Veronica is away. Taylor suggests a fling with Atticus bue he knows what will happen and it will be hard tp let her go. Taylor is full of ideas and spending time with Atticus only deepens the attraction. She just has tp remember she is leaving soon.

Leave it to Mary Frame to take a seemingly uninteresting character whose sole vocation seems to be raveling from one music festival to another, not as talent but as an attendee, and make her more than a caricature. Taylor is struggling to figure out her life in her late twenties while trying to piece together the mystery of a mother who ghosted the family of seven when Taylor was just a toddler. One snowy night she arrives back in her hometown and collides with Atticus, a high school acquaintance of hers who also understands loss and not fitting in anywhere. They share a night of passion before Taylor pulls her disappearing act.
Many months later, a transportation issue leaves Taylor stranded in her stifling hometown where she repeatedly reindulges in physical acts with the lovestruck Atticus. Family tension and drama also plague her, while Atticus becomes a safe haven but she always keeps an eye on the exits.
Unable to choose Atticus over a career opportunity, she sets off clear across the country, their HEA thwarted. Or is it?
A canny younger brother may play a part in steering the couple back onto true love’s path. It’s a great read, and the author is very talented, weaving in steamy scenes and emotional scenes with equal dexterity.
I received an advance reader copy from the author and booksirens and I’m pleased to leave my honest review.

Taylor loves life on the road in her VW, touring various music festivals. She is headed home to her family’s camp for disadvantaged children and runs out of gas. She sees a cabin not too far away and knocks on the door. Atticus opens the door, and she remembers the teen from high school who lost his parents and moved in with his aunt and uncle. He was kind to her and after losing her sister, she understood his quiet, sullen ways. He had a crush on her when they were I high school and can’t believe she is standing at his door. Sparks fly, and they spend the night together. Taylor doesn’t spend much time at home and is off again. She has a private eye helping her find her mother who left the children when Taylor was very young. Atticus ends up working at the camp with his knowledge of botany and when Taylor shows up neither can forget the time they shared together. I loved when Taylor worked Veronica’s bar. The way she handled the patrons, and the music festival was fun and creative. The times Taylor and Atticus stole away to be together were very romantic. I liked how they could be honest with each other and only wanted what was best. Great book, wonderful characters, and story. I have read all four books about the Fox family and this book stands alone.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. First book I'm reading in the series and since it's a standalone, you don't need to read the others but I think it may help with placing who's who and the timeline of events. I still enjoyed this book on its own, with its emotional story line of abandonment, guilt, self forgiveness, facing your pain/demons, regret, love and so much more. Do note trigger warnings that there is mention of depression, death of parents and sibling and the ensuing guilt that followed. The story started strong, then it felt like it slowed a little before picking up again towards the end, I couldn't put the book down and I needed tissues! Atticus was a real sweetheart, patient and kind and only wanting Taylor to be happy, going so far as to discount his own happiness. Taylor has let her demons keep her running, yet with Atticus she may finally have safe harbour, if she can just admit her feelings and let go of the past and guilt. The 2 are so similar, yet they've dealt with the grief and guilt in different ways. Somehow they help each other to face their pain and learn self forgiveness and to fight for each other and their HEA.

Opposites Attract Amid Small Town Family Drama in Wonderful Page-Turning Book

This is Taylor's story, the fourth Fox sibling's book, and while it is easily read as a standalone as the backstories are completely explained, it is much more fun if you have read the previous books in the series. Taylor has a nomadic lifestyle going from music festival to music festival and never putting down roots, and finally in this book we begin to understand why. Conversely Atticus, has been traveling as a consultant botanist for years, and now wants to settle and put down roots. When they meet again and rekindle their high school friendship - however now with off the charts chemistry and steamy "benefits" it fully develops into something more. But they have to acknowledge their feelings, and decide if they can work things out which kept my pages turning. I did love their friendship, conversations, and the way they supported each other and both really grew from the relationship. And I can't wait to see what Jake is up to - the next book in the series - Enjoy!

I was sent an ARC by the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Thank you to BookSirens for an ARC of Some Like It Fox, book 4 in the Fox Family series by Mary Frame.

Once again, this could work as a standalone novel. Probably more so than the others in the series. Although having the background of all the other characters would certainly be helpful, Some Like It Fox could be read alone.

This time we hear the story of Taylor Fox, the young carefree sibling who spends more time on the road in her VW bus than with the rest of the family. When her bus breaks down she finds the first shelter she can and ends up in the arms of Atticus Stone. Atticus works at the camp the other Fox siblings run and after their one night stand Atticus isn't sure he'll ever see Taylor again.

Taylor is worried she's like the matriarch of the family who disappeared when Taylor was a toddler. She doesn't like to stay in one place for very long and feels that her part in the death of their sister, Aria, keeps her from making lasting relationships with her siblings. A chance to run a local restaurant tethers Taylor to the family. Will she end up with Atticus and stay put or will she continue to chase her dreams?

This was a quick fun read but I hoped to get more about the rest of the family.

What a journey! I loved that this book had the perfect balance of funny and heart. I started into this mid-series, but what a way to be introduced to this world! And now I'll definitely have to go back to read the first three in this series.

I loved the character development in this one and for both of the main characters and how they were able to confide in each other like they haven't been able to do with their own families.

I love Taylor and Atticus' chemistry and the history the two had shared from childhood.

And that ending that brings you to the next chapter in the series was beautifully done! I was in shock (but the good kind!). I don't know if this is how the previous books have

Introduced the next one in the series, but what a way to get you excited for the next one.

This was very well written and I was engrossed with these characters and their story. I'm excited to go back to see what had happened before and to see what happens next!

Some Like It Fox is a sweet romance about Taylor and Atticus. On her way home to see her family at Christmas, Taylor’s van runs out of gas several miles from home. She finds a farmhouse owned by the Peterson’s and knocks on the door. She soon finds out they are away for the holiday but that their nephew Atticus is keeping watch over the place. When Atticus lets Taylor in and allows her to stay overnight, both find themselves attracted to eachother and they do some kissing. However, in the morning Taylor has disappeared and left only a note giving Atticus no info on how to get in contact with her.

Four months passes, and when Taylor attends a family event, she discovers that Atticus now works at her family’s camp. From there, Some Like It Fox gets even more interesting. This is a great story and continuation of the Fox Sisters series and I loved it just as much as the three previous books. I’m so excited for when book five is released. I don’t know how I’m gonna wait that long to read it.

An emotional rollercoaster with heat heart and humour.

Taylor is a vagabond and does not want to put down any roots. She travels to all the music festivals to keep herself occupied so she doesn't have to think of her painful past.

When her RV breaks down on christmas eve in a snowstorm she finds shelter with Atticus.

They spend the night together then she leaves.Atticus cannot forget their night together or the chemistry between them.

When Taylor has to come home and stay for a while, she finds out Atticus works for her family.

She wants a fling while she is in town.Atticus knows she will move on as soon as she can,but still falls for her.

It takes Taylor a while to sort through her feelings and issues.

They eventually get to their happily ever after with a little help from her siblings.

Great characters, tears, laughter, sibling issues with banter and support, small town vibes and a happily ever after.

The continuing saga of the Fox family focuses on Taylor. Haunted by her younger sister's death, searching for the mother she never knew, Taylor has become a nomad, returning home infrequently and never staying long. When her bus breaks down late at night in a snowstorm a short distance from home, her life changes in ways she never would have imagined.

Continuing stories can be tricky, but Mary Frame has done an excellent job of bring the past books into this new one in a manner that is informative, yet not just a rehash. I liked the way the past history of the family seeped in as needed throughout the book.

It was a compelling read and hard to put down. The main characters were believable, the events and interactions with family were interesting. The book was over before I knew it, and now I want to know the story of the remaining sibling, Jake! However, this is one series that needs to be read in order. Fun series and terrific newest addition.

The latest book in the Fox Family series focuses on Taylor, the nomad of the siblings, who has previously come across as not particularly sympathetic. Getting her point of view and understanding how she deals with her grief helped make her more likeable, but I still didn't connect with her quite as much as with her sisters in previous books. That said, her developing romance with Atticus - a classic case of opposites attracting - was delightful, depicting two people who feel like outsiders in their own families gradually finding their places with each other and in the world. The Fox family interactions continue to be well written: full of warmth and banter while carefully dealing with their ongoing issues around their parents and their sister's death. I'm definitely looking forward to Jake's story and seeing all the loose ends wrapped up.

MCs felt real
Some Like It Fox by Mary Frame

Good. Really enjoyed the book, plus it was good to catch up with some of the previous "Fox Family" characters. The FMC, Taylor, was fascinating.

Taylor Fox & Atticus Stone are both Whitby locals who moved away because of family tragedies. He had a crush on her during his awkward high school years. She remembers a kindness shown by him during her lowest times after the death of her sister.

Atticus is back to house-sit for the people who took him in when his parents died. Taylor is back for a stop-n-go visit with her family before continuing her nomadic lifestyle. A snowstorm forces her to shelter with him overnight resulting in an intense physical/mental connection neither were ready for. Unfortunately she's a runner and sneaks off in the middle of the night.

Circumstances keep bringing them back into each others orbits. It becomes impossible to fight the intense chemistry.

Taylor Fox is a wanderer, a nomad, basically she can’t stay in one place for any time at all. She is always drawn back to her family but then she meets Atticus, and things start to change.

The fourth in the series about the Fox family, we are getting to know them well now, all still grieving for their father and also their sister, Aria, but in their own, very individual ways. I love the bonds between the siblings, how they still have each others back despite or because of the way their lives are going. You know what you’re going to get with this series - a lovely story, a romance, a bit more of the family’s background and how each of them are adapting and growing. It’s an easy, indulgent read, and none the worse for that. Can’t wait til Jakes story coming next.

It is the hardest thing to forgive yourself, because feeling guilty doesn't start with understanding if the guilt is real or just heartfelt. It just worms its way into your soul, eating at you in the most unexpected moments. We all have regrets, big or small, but not all find understanding and resolution.
Taylor Fox is a vagabond, spreading herself away from home in her run from herself, and Atticus Stone becomes her rock. They are kindred spirits, and to be honest it was love at first sight. And it is finding herself caught between a rock and a hard choice that finally brings Taylor home to the people who love her.

I love how Mary Frame knows to bring all these feeling to the core, she made me question myself and search in my heart. And for that I'm grateful.

Honestly, I had a hard time rating this book. I would probably say it’s a 3.5.

It started out a little slow for me. BUT when it picked up about a third of the way through I didn’t want to put it down.

Taylor is a free spirit. She travels the country going from music festival to music festival, meeting people, having adventures, working as she needs. Some of this is comes from family “stuff. I won’t reveal the “stuff.

Atticus is more straight and narrow. He has his own family “stuff.

They come together after many years and sparks fly, but there is a lot of action and growth to happen before anything can really happen between them.

The storyline is a good one. I’m not into reading a lot of sexy scenes. Can’t say there was a lot in this story, but more than enough for me. Once or twice and then insinuate is fine for me.

An enjoyable story.
