has another winner in the Tales of Were series. I have been waiting for Magus' story FOR.EVER! And, it's finally, finally here. This book was both sexy and evocative. Reading what Miranda went through at the hands of the evil mage was devastating. But, what was worse for me was reading about the denial the couple put themselves through, knowing exactly who their mate was but unable to do anything about it because of species taboos. They were both strong to endure the mate separation and Miranda probably even more so than Magnus because she was separated from her mate and being mercilessly tortured. The story was intense and the plot was exception. We briefly saw bits of Miranda and Magnus in the last few stories in the series so I love how D'Arc wove together the plots of those stories with this one. I also appreciated that we got to see more of the Master vampire, Antoine de Latourette, . He was a calm, sensitive, and decisive leader. War is coming and D'Arc is doing an exceptional job lining up allies in each story. I can't wait to see which Redstone brother is next. I'm gonna take a bet and say Matt :).
If you love a good paranormal romance, you will love this series. It's sexy and action packed.

Tales of the Were: Magnus: Redstone Clan Bianca D’Arc
Bianca you did it again, great read. I loved how you took us back to the end of Slade’s read and went into a little detail with what actually happened to Miranda during her captivity. I think we the readers needed to understand what actually happened and what was or had gone on between Mag and her. I had totally forgotten she attacked Slade so that was my ah ha moment. Loved it. I loved that when Mag called out her name she stopped dead in her tracks and fought the bloodlust. I hadn’t realized how close to death she really was.
I was so happy that this time around Mag was not letting her go ever. He was going to fight for her. They both knew they were each other’s “One� but frightened by the prospect. It also didn’t help that they thought it was taboo. Shifters and bloodletters did not mate. This story played out so smoothly. I’ve always loved how Bianca brings in or rather ties in the Characters from her other series all having the same goal and that is to stop the Venifucus.
There were some very interesting parts to this read, one being when Grif called the meeting and more or less cornered Mag and Miranda, but what happened was just amazing. From Mag’s openly defying the Clan Alfa, to Kate the High Priestess and her Mate Slade whole heartedly encouraging their mating. I was tickled to death when they were summoned to meet with the Master of the Bloodletters and found him also to be receptive of their mating. Tony let Mag and Miranda know that he had already discussed the situation with Grif.
As you continue on you see unfold Cassandra’s plot to kill Miranda and her Pet (as she refers to Mag) and take down the Master. The Master has a pretty powerful Ancient Fey Warrior of Light on his side and I just loved Duncan. It was amazing to see three very powerful Alpha’s (not sure if we call Duncan and Alpha) coming together as allies to put an end to the evil that would be coming. I can’t wait for the next book to release and I hope we see more of Duncan, and I wonder who is going to fall for Melissa. Will it be Bob or Matt LOL. Only Bianca knows that.

Miranda van Allyn spent one night with a shifter over two years ago and realising who he was she ran. Becoming careless in the way she hunted Miranda is captured and imprisoned by the same madman the killed the Redstone Clan Matriarch. Tortured and kept in a cage with silver bars and bled until she was almost dead Miranda refuses to succumb to the dark.
Magnus Redstone found his true mate over two years ago but the following morning she was gone and he has been unable to find her since. How he manages to keep himself from going insane is a testament to the belief he will come face to face with his mate again as it is the Lady's will.
On the hunt for the man that killed their Matriarch and the Redstones mother the Priestess and her mate Slade along with the Redstones come across Miranda. Desperately clinging onto what little life she has left, Miranda fears the new magic and strikes out believing they are here to hurt her but something stops her, two simple words, but from a voice she must be imagining because she hasn't seen him in over two years. With Miranda now safe Magnus is determined to help her heal and will have no part in anybody getting in his way. Magnus and Miranda will need each other as well as unity between the vampires and shifters for as the venifus grows stronger an alliance between all on the side of the light will be needed if they are to bring an end to the venifus's intentions.
I loved Magnus. As you read each of the stories of the Redstone Clan you will be swept away by the brothers bond and the amazing storyline that makes you feel like you are a sharing it with them. I highly recommend this series be added to your tbr list.

A Cougar and a Bloodletter are destined to be mates. The conflicts they face to overcome the confusion and taboo from their people makes for an interesting read. Magnus and Miranda have fought the call to mate for two years. Miranda knew after their one night together that Magnus was her one, but she knew that it was forbidden.

“When Elspeth last threatened us all, much power was given by the Goddess to a few, very special people who served Her in the fight against the darkness. So it’s not completely unheard of for a shifter and a bloodletter to mate. It has been done in the past.�

With the backing of the powerful Redstone Clan and the Vampire Master, Mag and Mir find a way to bond and work within their respective cultures. Working as liaisons� helps the two groups to work together as they follow the light.

Miranda was a young vampiress. She met Magnus one fateful spicy night.
Magnus was one of the brothers that resided in Las Vegas. He had met a sexy and desirable woman one night. He knew when he was close to her that she might be his mate. They enjoyed one night filled with superb sex. In the middle of the night, she had to leave him. A joining like this was forbidden. She left knowing he was her, One. She was extremely hurt and heartbroken, not really caring anymore; she made the error of being captured!
In the 2 years since seeing Miranda, Mag poured himself into work and building a house in the desert that was light proofed, hoping one day Miranda would see it and stay. I’m sure like many others; I have been waiting impatiently for Mag & Miranda’s story.
This book actually runs along side Grif’s story due to the time frame of events, but does not detract from the storyline itself.
The author has covered the supposed taboo of cross species mating and the catalyst of a Vampire uprising perfectly, and with just the right amount of fallout and drama.
The only reason I have rated this book 4 and not 5 Stars, is due to the repetitive nature of some of the scenes and comments between the main characters; however the book is still a worthy part of this fantastic series.

It seems like forever that I've been waiting for this book, and it didn't disappoint! Magnus was the perfect alpha male for Miranda! This book was surprising in a lot of ways, and I liked the different sides of these people we got to see. I hope we see more of Tony and mayybee him getting his own book.... That'd be awesome.

Another fantastic book to the series. It was so great to finally learn what had happened to Mag and his vampire friend who we briefly met in Slade's book of the Tales of the Were series. This book started on the night of Melanie's rescue and followed all the way through and past Steve's story.
It also seems that key characters from other books are beginning to make an appearance, and I can not wait for bobcat's story :D

wow, magnus is hot hot hot, can we say break the rules and piss off vamps in the process not to mention challenge your alpha/bro. man to have a mate who is a vamp can we say go lady of the light. glad that he had matt to turn to and get advice on how to help his mate. my question what was the notes she gave to the leaders? what was so important that the alpha is sending one of his brothers to be a liason to the were lords? guess we have to wait for bobcats book to find out.

Mag and Andi. I liked how for two so drawn to the forbidden, they did their best to uphold the rules. These are two of the most honorable people, and drserve every bit of their happiness. The hell they went through while apart almost compares to the depths of love they have for each other. I fell in love early and and stayed down.

I really love this series. Magnus does not disappoint in any way. The love story is as tender as it is hot. The fight scenes are exciting too. The book is a filling meal but leaves you thinking more please.

okay, so even though I totally hate the time overlaps in these stories, I loved seeing Mag and Miranda fall in love deeply and find a way to have their HEA while kicking some serious ass! can't wait for Bob's book

I loved this story.
I was glad to get Miranda and Mag’s story. You get that first glimpse as Mag takes Miranda away. I’m so glad they got their HEA.
