A career in logistics offered me the opportunity to travel to many beautiful locations in America, and I revisit them in my romantic novels.

I write alpha males and kick-ass women who weave their way through life and its pitfalls.

I live in Texas, love sunshine, children’s laughter, sugar (human and granulated), and researching for my heroes and heroines.

Quick Summary
Ty Castillo's plan to extract Ana Cisneros out of the jungles of Colombia was blown to bits when she wasn't where she was supposed to be and wasn't ready to leave. Never mind that a ruthless drug lord had her captive and was organizing her tortuous death.

The suspense?
Nail biting. The good guys get seriously hurt in Jerrie Alexander's stories so you can't take ANYTHING for granted. By the time I reached the end I could barely breathe.

The romance?
Okay, Ty (Latin and Black) is described as a dead ringer for Shemar Moore. Try getting that image out of your head. He and Ana are fighting one minute and lip-locked the next. Volatile and sexy.

The bad guys?
We're talking Colombian drug lords who want more than a piece of Ana and Ty for reasons you'll have to read about. These guys are nasty and vicious. I completely bought into their badness.

Bottom line
I'm sold now on Jerrie Alexander's ability to write suspense with a bite. These ops are rough and the operatives tough. The stories are gritty and the romance is also high octane. I've got the third story in this series already in the queue!

Cold Day in Hell is one hot action adventure in the jungles of Colombia. Wild and dangerous best described the exciting plot of this latest in the Lost and Found series.

Tyrell (Ty as he likes to be called these days) was sent to Colombia to blow up a drug lord’s manufacturing plant. Should have been a easy job but when his contact who is suppose to supply with him with the explosives get’s herself kidnapped by the drug lord the mission changes to a rescue operation.

Ana has had one goal for most of her life, to kill the man responsible for slaughtering her family and leaving her for dead. Her need for revenge made her abort the mission with Ty. When Ty rescues her she isn’t all that happy to go with him as she didn’t succeed in killing the man that changed her life forever.

The majority of this book is spent in the Columbian jungle and its not just the human predators that Ty and Anna have to look out for. The author’s realistic description of the climate and nasty, deadly creepy crawlies that can be encountered in the middle of the jungle made you feel like you were sweating and ick’ed out by the snakes and spiders right along with Ana.

We got a big glimpse of Ty in the first book and know he is very loyal to his friends and needs to always save the girl (even if she doesn’t want to be saved). He’s also a loner that’s never had love other than with the friends of Lost and Found whom he’s known since college. Ana is also pretty gun shy when it comes to caring for someone in the romantic sense. It’s almost a foreign concept to her since revenge has been such a big part of her life for so long. These two fought their feelings for a good chunk of the book and it was funny that the one telling Ty he was being an idiot was the king of brooding Marcus who was the main secondary character in this book and whose story is next.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking the adventure during this book with Ty and Ana and looking forward to more thrilling escapade’s from the future books in this series.

First off, let's just say how amazing this cover is.
We get to follow Ty thru the sweltering jungle of Colombia to fight the drug cartel while attempting to rescue his contact who wound up getting herself snatched. Ty and Ana both are well developed characters, both with their own agendas and both heading in different directions in their missions. The author must have done a ton of research on jungles due to the wonderful descriptions of the individual creepy-crawlies and landscape. The one-on-one here is intense. Sparks fly along with the bullets!
Great action and the passion sizzles. Alexander keeps tabs on all of the original characters from the first book in the Lost and Found, Inc. series. I am looking forward to reading about Marcus and Jake's stories. I loved Hell or High Water and this is a fantastic followup.

Jerrie Alexander’s Lost and Found, Inc. is a great new romantic suspense series, and the first book, Hell or High Water won me over very quickly. Now, after reading Cold Day in Hell, I’m definitely a fan. I don’t think you necessarily have to read Hell or High Water before jumping into this second installment, but doing so will really enhance your enjoyment and appreciation of the overall scope of the series and give you more insight into the backstories of this great group of heroes and the strong women who love them.

In Cold Day in Hell, Alexander takes us out of Dallas, Texas, and into the Columbian jungle where Tyrell (Tye) Castillo has been sent on behalf of his company, Lost and Found, Inc., a newly formed investigation firm working with the FBI to bring down an infamous South American drug lord. His mission was supposed to be easy until his Columbian contact, Ana Cisneros, decides to take matters into her own hands, becoming a threat to Manuel Ortega’s drug empire and a prime target for elimination.

Sparks fly between Tye and Ana when they finally meet, but they aren’t the good kind with fluttering hearts and butterflies. No, these two stubborn individuals clash from the very beginning because they both have different agendas for accomplishing this mission. While this is just a routine job for Tye, Ana has a personal vendetta against Ortega and is seeking revenge. Instead of going it alone, she tries to convince Tye to help her, and along the way the two become more than just allies. Expect lots of sexual tension and one particularly steamy love scene that cements their bond, for better or worse.

Ana and Tye have a lot more in common than they think, which only strengthens the connection they have. By getting both characters POVs, it is evident that they each carry around a lot of emotional baggage, including survivor’s guilt. Ana’s and Tye’s background stories provide depth and lend believability to their thoughts and actions over the course of the book and helped me to identify and connect with them so that I became emotionally invested in the outcome of their story.

Ana may be tiny in physical stature, but she has a huge heart, lots of grit, and a deadly aim, earning her Tye’s respect and admiration. He frequently calls her his “little warrior, and Ana most definitely is a fighter. After all that has happened to her, every time she gets knocked down (figuratively and literally) she gets right back up and perseveres. At times, I wondered if Ana’s single-minded focus on vengeance would cause her to take unnecessary risks and jeopardize the safety of others, but I was relieved to see that this isn’t the case at all.

The plot is filled with action, danger, and suspense drawing forth themes of loyalty to family and country, the cost of revenge and betrayal, and, finally, the need to fight for love if and when the opportunity comes along.

I am so looking forward to the next book, No Chance in Hell, which will feature the Marcus’s story, and based on the excerpt I’ve read, I know it’s going to be good!

Cold Day in Hell by Jerrie Alexander is 2013 publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Ana's life is about justice- the vigilante type. She has lived her life vowing to take down the ruthless Manuel Ortega, the man responsible for killing her parents and leaving her disfigured. Just when Ana has infiltrated the Ortega camp, she is taken captive.
Enter Tyrell- "Ty" Castillo. Ana is his contact in Columbia and he must now rescue her and get them safely out of the country. When he finally gets Ana free, he finds she is not ready to leave. She wants revenge and won't take no for an answer. When Ty gets the order to take out Ortega, Ana is not in on the assignment, but she invites herself along anyway. Meanwhile, Oretega is hunting for Ana and the inevitable bloodbath erupts, but when Ana's adoptive parents are dragged into the furor the mission takes on a different dimension. To cap off all that tension, Ana and Ty are having a hard time keeping their relationship in the professional realm. Both are aware that once this mission is over, Ty will go back to the states and Ana will stay in Columbia fighting the good fight for her country. So, will these two remain star crossed lovers or will they realize they must be together no matter what the sacrifices are ?
If you love romantic suspense with non stop action and adventure, not to mention hot steamy romance, this is one you should try out. The Lost and Found unit will make an awesome long running series.
The Columbian jungle makes a challenging backdrop to an already volatile and dangerous situation dealing with drug lords. Ana's obsession with exacting revenge will try out Ty's patience and keep him all tied up in knots. But, she is one determined lady and not even the Lost and Found unit can stop her. I wasn't sure who gave Ty a bigger challenge, Ortega or Ana. Ty is a mix of alpha and beta in personality and it works out perfectly for a person like Ana who will need someone to be strong, but also be able to do a little compromising as well.
Dealing with dangerous drug lords is a never ending battle and so Ana and Ty will have much work ahead of them if they can manage to work out a plan so they can live together without one of them having to give up their mission and goal in life.
Overall this was a tense and steamy thriller sure to satisfy any reader that loves suspense and romance... and who doesn't?
This one is an A.

I really enjoyed it, but it dragged a little for me. Ana is indeed a little warrior and perfect for Ty. My heart melted about the little girl near the end and Diablo being taken care of.

I love Ms Alexander’s books, especially her writing style. She really knows how to sell a plot with great characters, good research and descriptive scenarios. Another trademark of hers is always to include the POV of the villain(s) which lends a rather creepy and uncomfortable aspect to the story. The reader becomes privy to the thoughts of a twisted mind. Cold Day in Hell was a departure from any of her previous books. The majority of this story takes place in Colombia where the jungle is thick and danger lurks from above and below, and ruthless members of a drug cartel are never far behind the hero and heroine.

This plot wasn’t a new one, but it felt new to me through the words of the author. I instantly liked the main characters, Ty and Ana. Not only were both of them bad-a**es, but their often sarcastic power-play with words made them a perfect match for one another. Her allure was not only that she could easily watch his six, but she was also a tough character under the most stressful situations. But these two were far from being perfect warriors. They were not only following their own agendas, but they also had scars that ran deep Ana is out for revenge to fulfill a promise, and Ty still feels guilty over the death of his sister.

I totally bought the chemistry between Ana and Ty. Their awareness of one another simmered from their first meeting, but I’m really glad the author did not have them act upon it while on the run through the jungle. I never quite buy into such scenarios of hot, sweaty, smelly sex when they could get shot at any moment. These two were given ample opportunity to just be around one another, learn about each other, and develop together. When they finally did come together, the sex was very steamy. Aside from the mounting sexual tension, I really enjoyed the amount of action in this story. I’d say both were evenly distributed or evenly present in this story. Danger both on and off home turf, seemingly insurmountable obstacles in the form of conflicting interests and the usual nasty villains made Cold Day in Hell a thrilling, sweaty read from start to finish. It can be read as a stand alone and there is no cliffhanger ending.

Favorite Lines:
“What happened in your past that makes you risk your life for strangers?

“Getting a little nosy, aren’t you?

“What else are we supposed to do except talk and watch for snakes?

“My first idea would get my face slapped, so I’ll go with my second.
~*~
“Ana, he whispered into her hair, his warm breath slicing her wide open, strong hands splayed across her midriff. “I’ll never forget the warrior I found locked in that room or the passionate woman I held in my arms. Promise you’ll remember me, even if it’s only when you see a giant spider.

Tyrell Castillo finds himself on his first mission for Lost and Found Inc in Columbia to rescue the girl who was supposed to be his contact. When he rescues her and blows up the cartels compound he realizes that Ana is not going to be very cooperative and gives him a struggle. Along the way through the jungle and dodging bullets Ty and Ana develop an attraction that Ty knows is off-limits. After being rescued and forced out of her country Ana finds herself in Texas and thinking constantly of Ty. When Ty finally comes to see her she is soon attacked by one of the cartel’s lieutenants. She realizes that even leaving her country can’t keep her safe. She must go back to Columbia and kill the head of the cartel. But, first she must convince Ty to go with her. When Ty realizes he cannot protect her and questions the loyalty of those around him, he realizes he must go to Columbia with Ana. When Ana and Ty finally express their feelings they acknowledge that nothing can really happen and just as their love broadens it must be squelched with the knowledge that they will go their separate ways. Can the two really say goodbye after their mission or with they choose to find love after all this violence has brought them together?

Jerrie Alexander has his yet another home run. I loved this book. I love Ty and Ana. Ana was so fun to read. She really was the best foil for Ty. She was no-nonsense and when push came to shove she pushed back. This made for a great love story. The fight they both put up just made is all that more satisfying when they were finally together. I also loved the Cartel portion of the story. This was something a bit different for Jerrie. Usually she writes a lot about serial killers or just crazy stalker killers. This was definitely a new line in the crime family that Jerrie Alexander has written about. I really enjoyed it and I think she really hit the nail on the head with the cartels. With everything we know about them it felt true and definitely possible. Overall, this is a wonderful addition to Jerrie Alexander’s stories. I look forward to Marcus story next. If you like a good suspense and a fantastic story you need to start reading this series now.

I really enjoyed this story. It was another great read by Jerrie Alexander. The characters are amazing. I loved Ty and Anna. Ty goes in to blow up a drug lord's house and to rescue Ana if she's there. Ana doesn't want to go because she wants to kill the drug lord. Ty gets his way, alpha male that he is, though Ana does put up resistance. Ana has her reasons for revenge that she doesn't share with Ty right away because she's worried it won't matter to him. They are on a race through the jungle to reach safety, but it doesn't end there.
I loved the way that Ty and Ana interacted with each other and how Ana stood her ground out in the jungle. I love a strong heroine and that's exactly what Ana was. The interaction was great because of the situation they were in but also the fact that you see both positive aspects and flaws of character. These characters were complete and somebody that I could imagine actually being alive and doing these things. The flaws that were shown made the characters realistic and loveable.
I loved the story and how things played out. There is plenty of action and definite suspense. There is a traitor in the mix and it isn't until the end that you find out who. The story transitions smoothly and there is a great mix of relationship and storyline. It's integrated beautifully. I can't wait for more in this series and getting everyone's stories. Once I started I didn't want to put the book down. I recommend reading this story. This is part of a series but it can be read and fully enjoyed without having read the first one. Absolutely loved it, can't wait for more.

Ty has a mission, or well he did until his contact was a no show, now he has a new mission go find the contact and get her to safety. Problem? Ana wants nothing to do with escaping, she has a personal mission and she's determined to see it through, but with Ty at the helm she just might have to rethink a few things. When their kill mission becomes a recsue and the two spend more and more time together sparks fly but in the end they live in two different countries their commited to serving. Will they find a way to be together or will their combined stubbornness keep them apart forever?

Ty is such an Alpha male and it's seeing him try to contend with Ana who's a very strong female all on her own. Watching the push and pull between the two is funny and their electricity leaves you just itching for the moment it all blows up. Ana is a great lead all her own and her strength and ability to take care of herself help you root for her cause throughout the story. Loved the story line and how everything unfolded making you feel like you were right there in all the action. I loved seeing the characters from Hell and High Water again and can't wait to see the next story unfold.

2nd book in the Lost and Found Inc series. I read the first book in the series a while ago and just jumped right back into its world with this. The guys are hot and heroic, with flaws and hangups. Just the way I like 'em. The girls are fiesty and whilst in bother they are no damsels in distress.

Ty deals with the jungles of Colombia and the drug cartels while searching for his so-called contact who went off half-cocked in her need for revenge. Ana, said contact, has some very good reasons for wanting the cartel head honcho dead. Ty and Ana are great characters, both have you cheering for them and wanting to slap them in equal measure, a sign of an involving read!!!.

The sparks (and bullets) are flying and with the action and adventure come a cast of great characters!!!
It's nice to see the characters from the first book involved. No spoilers but thank you Jerrie for not ending Diablo, I nearly cried at what the animal was trained to do!!!!!

This book grips you from the first paragraph and pulls you along with the characters through a tension-based, action packed, romantic suspense as they fight their way through the Columbian jungle. The characters are well crafted both strong, and smart. Both characters have damaged backgrounds which they fight through. And the physical attraction between them sizzles, but they both fight against it. Their goals are so different and neither wants to give up their plan for their own life. But love, or sex, overcomes the obstacles for some well written sex scenes.
They survive several attempts on their life by a drug cartel warlord as they try to escape Columbia and find the mole that keeps setting them up.
If you’re looking for a great action-packed read, try this book in the series Lost and Found, Inc. by Jerrie Alexander.

Two wounded warriors, from different worlds, trying to find a common ground to build upon, while fighting against heartless, cruel, callous drug-lord and his army.
The suspense gave me angst and jitters, it took a hold of me from the page one, and kept me guessing till the end. It is vigorous and intense, don't take anything for granted.
If I hadn't read the first book of the series, I would have thought all the characters were a bit sour and short tempered, even rude.
The romance, or sexual attraction between Ana and Ty, was sizzling hot. When they were not fighting with each other. The constant pull-push, that even other character in a book mentioned, started to get to me.
But they had the whole world stacked against them, so I looked over it.
Overall satisfying read, and looking forward to more Lost and Found mysteries.

I won this book in a giveaway.

Love the Title

The heroine is strong, but blinded by her promise to her parents. The hero is arrogant and blinded by his focus on the mission. The hero continually underestimates her and she continually proves him wrong. It's a great contrast. I was happy when the teammate saved the dog, even though I was sad by what they had made the animal do previously. This story made me very sad a number of times. The traitor got exactly what he deserved, especially after so many people got hurt because of him. An entire village massacred.

Would you recommend this book? I'm loving this series. I went back to get book one before reading them, but they can be read as standalones.

Good second entry to the series. It updates the rest of the team while focusing on Ty Castillo, another member of the UT Football team that makes up Lost and Found. Ty has been assigned to locate and rescue Ana Cisneros, a woman fighting a personal battle against one of Colombia's most lethal drug lords.

Ty cannot help but assist Ana in her quest, and it leads to much more.
